It's remarkable, isn't it, how based on what I know about two specific things in his story, the rest falls apart.
When I had a stress fracture, I could barely walk to the end of the street. If you'd said I had to run a marathon on it, I'd have told you to go and boil your head.
I've done a fair bit of fundraising over the years, individually and as part of a group. I have never experienced a charity requiring NDAs for fundraising. "We want you to raise lots of money but you're not allowed to talk about it" makes no sense at all.

I feel no shame or remorse for the web of lies that I have woven about my life. I didn‘t pass GCSE Maths and have brazenly stated that I did indeed get a Grade C. I didn’t overcome dyscalculia, I just lied through my back teeth and avoided doing resits. 
I got a CSE grade one which is an O level grade C equivalent, which I was really surprised to get given my utter hatred of maths and complete lack of effort at it. A few years later I applied for secondary teacher training and that CSE saved me from having to re-sit a year of maths. Interestingly, I had to have O level grade C or the equivalent in maths and English to train as a secondary English teacher and I'm sure I have read our plagiaristI feel no shame or remorse for the web of lies that I have woven about my life. If someone came on stage and pulled Jason’s head off to reveal he was an android like yer man from Alien/Prometheus, I’m not sure I’d be all that surprised.
Ohio State's Office of Diversity and Inclusion (which is now closed) was administrative in nature and did not engage in teaching and learning activities, so there is no way that Walter Mitty Jason Arday could have held a professorial position there. He might have been an advisor or a consultant there but was not a professor, visiting or otherwise.
And a search of his name on the OSU web site turns up no results.

This is all starting to feel like an episode of 'Black Mirror', wherein AI 'invents' the most perfect, tick-box academic personality they can, but hallucinates parts of the backstory, and nobody notices until suddenly everybody notices ...
I listened to more of the Bath video featuring Arday.
At approx 25 mins in he talks about loving tailoring & references Oswald Boatang. JA says he was a competent cutter & tailor & considered doing this & named his daughter Tailor (? sp & oooh the parallels) due to this interest.
At 34.20 mins he says that from 2003 he observed increasing BME students going onto HE. Claims half of 1m students are BME and of this half 2/3 do post grad but then fall away at PhD level. Need to look into the number but at first blush, based on what I know of FE, I don't think this adds up or that these proportions are accurate.
As half the population isn't BME this would suggest over representation in HE & we're in Malorie Blackman Noughts & Crosses fiction.
Why is noone redirecting this? Make it make sense.

It'll definitely come out, they've printed a huge number that are already on their way to stores.
After the first week I can't see it selling much.
I'm interested in what'll happen with his advance and royalties.
I'm really curious will it sell, don't know if you're familiar with Lindy West at all but she had a book out recently and it was basically how her husband had convinced her to become polyamorous and there was discussion of the book everywhere on social media, there were loads of reviews and think pieces but it didn't actually move many copies. I assume when a book is that dissected on social media do people just not bother buying a copy.
It still well could be a best seller but I think theres also a chance that its a flop

This story has somehow(????) completely passed me by until today but now I'm all in on Professor Billy buller.
In some ways he reminds me a bit of Elizabeth Holmes, the Theranos fraudster (although I'm not suggesting he's done anything criminal), but she also had a lot of famous, distinguished people and institutions eating out of the palm of her hand by a combination of grandiosity, blatant lies and leaning on claims of discrimination, albeit sexism in her case.

How can you live your whole life just waiting for the inevitable moment when it all falls apart? Because I know there’s an argument to be made that compulsive fantasists believe that their version of reality is the correct one, but using the police to deter enquiring minds suggests that he knew full well that his narrative would rapidly unravel once someone pulled at one of the loose ends.

Like Jack Monroe, he seems to have absolutely no sense of humour, especially when it comes to himself.
I'm sorry, but I'm as thick as mince, and it seems obvious even to me that this guy is a complete fantasist? You only have to listen to him speak a couple of times to see he's not that bright and is talking utter balls.
