I used to watch jvlogging quite a lot during my college years back in 2008 - Tokyo Cooney, TkyoSam, Roger Swan to name a few.
I got fed up of the drama between content creators and stopped watching when I lived in Japan from 2014-2015.
Most of the scene has pretty much died out a few years ago as a lot of them eventually left Japan and most subscribers stopped watching this sort of content.
I still miss the golden years of jvlogging when YouTube was quite new and a few tens of thousand views was considered viral.
I've recently watched a few videos on TkyoSam and his channel is pretty much dead now. His content is stuck in the past and hasn't improved. I guess if the only thing interesting about you is "I live in Japan!" doesn't go far these days.

So Sharla is dating Chris! She finally confirmed it. They did seem to have good chemistry and got along well.

Have to say, with her moving to Sendai and them conveniently going to the UK at the same time, I'm not entirely surprised.
The way they interacted in videos did make me wonder if there was more going on.

She was only 31 and just got engaged a short while before her diagnosis. Heartbreaking. Her fiance uploaded a video about it. He talks in Korean, but there are subtitles.
I just can't imagine the horror

Anyone watching Kelly Morita? This girl is such a flip flopper. One day she tries to give sage advice as a "mother" the next she eats McDonalds and complains about regular pregnancy symptoms being too hard. She also had the audacity to host a "virtual baby shower" and ask for donations from fans even though they just moved to a more expensive apartment they didn't need.

I followed Sharla first. Then Chris popped up when he made that clip about been woken up to an emergency warning with the alarms going off etc.
The video is up on her channel now. The ‘story’ is only a tiny part of it.
