I’m avoiding her newest vlog simply because Jack is an absolute cringe-fest.

Had this exact conversation with my fella over the weekend. He was asking about the James Charles/Tati stuff from last year (yes he’s definitely not up to speed ) and questioned about any other scandals in the beauty world, so I told him I have no idea because I don’t follow much of it anymore. Literally think I have 6 or 7 beauty YouTubers left in my subscriptions because I’m fully over the entire fake, money grabbing, attention whoring community. Anyway, I digress...
Fella asked me about Jamie as one he remembers me watching years ago and I told him she’s one I no longer sub to purely because of Jack and his growing presence in all of her work, desperately inserting himself into absolutely everything. I think it really changed her content and he’s so unlikeable yet is being forced on the viewers at every given opportunity! Popping up in a vlog now and again makes total sense as the husband but this narrative of it now being ‘The Jamie and Jack Show’ is such bullshit and I especially hate him, and all the clout-chasing partners like him, who make sure they control so much of what the influencers put out, be it via editing videos, taking all their pictures, going on every brand trip and basically riding coattails until they inevitably leave their jobs to become Insta husbands with massive egos. Makes me cringe more than the overdone guffawing ‘hilarity’ when they pull their unfunny Jack’s ordering room service schtick.
Also, side note, her boring as fuck same look in every single video was a major factor in losing all interest in her as well. She had more creativity - and credibility! - back as an Illamasqua counter girl, it’s a shame that was ditched along with any ounce of integrity she had.

I really dont know what to think of Jamie. I used to quite enjoy watching her make-up videos but now she just annoys the fuck out of me. She is not half as relatable as she likes to think she is, and Jack is just an arsehole.

That benefit Maldives trip was ridiculous no criticism of jamie and Jack for going cos if some company was daft enough to give me a free trip to the Maldives to a villa that’s about £10,000 a night and all I had to do was take pics and show folk an eyebrow pencil then I’d be there as well there seemed to be a spell of loads of way OTT brand trips.

this popped up on my YouTube this morning. All round a really bad review and 2 eyeshadows drop out the palette. I have had a Vieve lipstick floating in and out of my cart on cult beauty for a week really wondering if I wanted to spend £19 as the colours look nice. I’ve seen and heard enough now, my money is better spent elsewhere.
I do like Jamie, I just don’t like when influencers think they can rip you off with subpar products, disappointing.

I used to watch her probably a couple years ago. Her and Jack seemed cute and the vlogs where they’d take Drogba out to the woods and do normal “couple” things was somewhat easy to watch and somewhat relatable .
Then it began to change, with more and more pr trips and Jack always tagging along.
She would come on and say “I’m gone too much, this month I’m staying home.” Then they’d be off again within a couple weeks.
Her looks went from a naturally pretty face to plastic. All the damn fillers, the fake boobs, the fake nails..
Nothing remotely relatable about either of them now.
Ahhh almost forgot, “I’m not well...” fucking way to grate on someone’s nerves!

I think the both of them absolutely love themselves now. Its all went to their head tbh I liked them a while ago coz they seemed more down to earth than other insta famous couples but they are just going down the same path of being ignorant, arrogant and self obsessed like the rest of them.

i think sadly you are right. It’s the entitlement that puts you off. A few Zoom meetings to discuss your commission is not a hard days work, no matter how many times you say it.

Yeah no issue with her accepting it cos I definitely would but I agree that when places hand out free stays a lot it puts me off booking....also find it annoying when they call it a press trip!!! Just write “gifted” on it! It’s not a fuckin press trip! We all know they gave you a free stay to promote the place so writing press trip on it isn’t fooling anyone into thinking this is some sort of journalistic endeavour

Agree with all of you. She isn’t worthy of any defence anymore, sad because I like a ‘girl done good’ story. Proves I suppose how money does corrupt. It was always plain to see in Jack but now she is just as guilty.

Entitlement and showing off is ugly but in the middle of a pandemic where literally thousands of people losing their jobs on a daily basis, it is totally hideous. If you were so needing a break wouldn’t you have ditched the staged photos with your lavish hotels and LV bags for the week?

oh and who is going anywhere to warrant buying false eyelashes? Really, that is this weeks hard sell?

I think she’s got more cash than most of us will ever know but apart from her car you can’t really tell! Most of the international travel is gifted and most of her make up is gifted. I bet when she looks like she’s wearing a plain black t shirt it’s actually about £300

One thing I always did like is how open she was from the start about her boob job then getting them replaced. Much better than when 30 year old influencers are like “Yeah so it’s just puberty”
