I think this is extremely harsh and unfair.
Even if someone was diagnosed with mental health issues this does not mean that their child would be taken from from them.
Can I just add that I love that you have called this one out Swipe Up! (Completely agree), you aren’t someone to mince your words in these posts (which I also love despite others being a bit sensitive) but you got it spot on here!
@Comeagain?! if you think Jade is “far too mentally ill” then you have no idea about mental illness. Jade presents with classic symptoms of anxiety, which by the way 1 in 4 people will consult their GP about. The sad thing about it is that she does nothing to help herself, her goals I.e. becoming a famous YouTuber are unrealistic, further feeding in to her anxiety. She constantly seeks validation and reassurance from strangers, she has unhelpful and unhealthy expectations, attachments and relationships, she attaches meaning to objects and occasions that is unnecessary. She does nothing meaningful with her time and she has never sought professional help despite being pointed in the right direction by followers (me being one of those on multiple occasions) instead her outlet is Instagram where she will sit for hours and cry or moan all the while contradicting herself. Her mental health isn’t unmanageable, she just doesn’t do anything to manage it and thinks by talking to thousands of strangers this will make her relatable, when actually all it does is irritate people that have experienced similar symptoms but sought advice and maintained a full time job.
Please do not make sweeping statements that someone’s mental health will result in children being removed from their care. That is exactly the reason people don’t seek help, because they think kids will be taken away and long term this will impact their mental health and the mental health of their children further.
