Coconut milk and garlic do not go....vom! Jack is liking tweets that slag off Jamie still. Bitter.

Just because you are on low income doesn't mean you need to eat revolting combinations. Spaghetti hoops and coconut nut milk? Just no. Have spaghetti on toast for dinner FFS then use the coconut milk for something else like a bowl of chickpea curry.

She did something disgusting with tinned sardines too.

So glad I've found this forum, I thought I was alone at seeing through her s***.
I work in publishing and she posted something that while wasn't an outright lie it definitely was a misleading half truth. I replied to kindly point out that wasn't quite the case and Jack Monroe: Don't you think I know that, I've released 6 books you know.
No Jack Monroe I don't think you knew that because your tweet showed a lack of knowledge. She's always arrogant and unfriendly. I definitely don't want her given screen time. You want warm, friendly, comforting people on TV, everything Jack Monroe isn't. I don't think she even cares about poverty and anyone other than herself. She wants to be a famous face and if it wasn't food banks she hitched herself onto it would be some other cause to further herself.

I just tried to find the Revolting Recipe™ on her website and it is riddled with ads which a. Make it impossible to search for anything and b. Means she is earning a good income from those.

If anyone freezes condensed milk and cornflakes please do credit Jack with inventing that recipe 😆

Kept seeing this name pop up and finally had a nosy on her instagram. Omg, how self righteous and full of herself is she?! Am I right in seeing that she’s asking her followers to send her tip money to her PayPal account?! With people losing jobs and taking pay cuts? She’s a right piece of work.

it's so strange cos she seemedso normal when i first read about her in the guardian, i dunno if she was always like this or the "fame" has gone to her head?

Yeah, i liked her too when she first appeared. She's definitely become insufferable over time.

Just scratching the surface and her pinned tweet, for example, is unbearably smug and overcompensating.

"Instead of wasting money buying a chicken and boiling down stock for hours, next time your dad is in the bath, just throw in some tinned carrots, onions and celery with a can of spagetti hoops, and leave to sit"

Some of the Tweets she's liked are amazing. One accusing Jamie Oliver of smugly shaking a bag of pasta.

Are we really suggesting noone in the country has pasta and it's insensitive and distressing for other people to even see pasta? Someone has pasta, someone has lots of pasta. In a 'cooking from your cupboards' kind of programme, were they meant to do no recipes at all with dried pasta? People are lunatics.

(I do not have pasta, I didn't cry cause I'm brave)

That was my first time getting to know her too but Lord, she's either been a very good actress from the start or she's gotten worse the bigger her name gets. Either/or but it's very hard to find a way to like her.

And I get very strong 'poor people cosplay' vibes from her shtick, much like that Cash Bird who got loads of backlash from the mouth frothing instahuns.

When you're on neither side of the argument but have run out of popcorn and your poor person bank balance says no 🤔

She has always been insufferable and a bleeping nasty petty piece of work. She made me feel sorry for David Cameron (whom I despise) when she had a pop at him about 'using' the memory of his son who passed from Celebral Palsy as 'rhetoric'.
You know because no child is worse off than her son.....

It lost her the Sainsburys contract she had. This is why brands stay away.

I can imagine her having two accents growing up - the one for home, the one for school.

Ah yeah I had forgotten this. Funnily enough, that's Katie Hopkins level nasty (who Jack sued for her own vile tweets if anyone didnt know)

And the irony of using the ultimate in political rhetoric in her condemnation of it - "our NHS" - i hate that phrase. It's total manipulation and spin. It's the NHS. It doesn't make you a right wing privatisation crazy anti socialist to not say "our."

Definitely, it all seems like acting poor. She's seriously out of touch to think she's a revolutionary pioneer by making risotto without Aborio.

Jamie Oliver is a millionaire (and Jack is very obsessed with that fact) but I think he gets the plight of people far more than jack ever could.

Does jack really know poverty because of those two hellish years where she (allegedly) couldn't buy a couple of £160 perfumes for her birthday? 🧐

I had to google that perfume brand, that’s how poor I am, and I’m probably her target audience. So unrelateble. And the 20hrs of work a day. I feel like she started by saying 12 and then it crept up but does anyone believe that someone in her job would sit at a desk for twenty hours. Twenty!
