All of the ‘other articles you might like’ at the bottom of her tinned fish on toast ‘recipe’ were 1,000 x more interesting - how to bake bread without yeast, how to make meringue if you don’t have eggs, how to recreate a Greggs sausage and bean melt at home. Nothing groundbreaking but practical and useful. None by Jack!

@Alebandra1 sorry to hear about what your mum & sister went through, I hope they’re in a much better place now? Agreed completely, I didn’t realise how much I do it but I’ve got doubles of most things that are important to me (HP sauce 😂) and already had a stock pile of loo roll & toiletries because they’d always go first and are ££ to replace.

Also her recipes often use more food than is warranted? Like someone else has pointed out just eat hoops on toast you don’t need chick peas ruining the dish when that’d make a whole other dinner?!

same! I do not know why she hasn't been offered one (or maybe she doesn't want one) but her writing style is great and her recipes are always good
I guess it helps if you're a raging lunatic, spend half your days throwing yourself a Twitter pity party, and unleashing your followers to spread your hate/sing your praises. 😂

She doesn't neeeeeed to be working at 03:30am. I think 'working hard despite the odds' is an identity that she clutches onto tbh. Noone is making her get up at 03:30am.

I have to admit that I think if you are unable to feed yourself and your child and/or if you are attempting suicide then your child should be taken into care. Not to punish anyone but to ensure the wellbeing of the child and give the parent a chance to get treatment, rest and regroup. No child should have to live with someone who is attempting suicide. I did as a girl and it left scars for life.
Not wanting to go to off topic and into such serious issues at that, but surely, ideally it should be on a case by case basis. The harm to the child caused by staying weighed against the harm inflicted by leaving. I am sorry to hear you went through something so awful, I can't imagine how hard that would be as a child, and to come to terms with as an adult.
But the other thing in this case is, it's Jack we are talking about. I would never usually say it about someone, but she is an exception. Are we even convinced she ever was suicidal - especially to the point of actually attempting it?

She’s prone to posting pictures of herself grinning, laying with her cat and saying goodnight. If she didn’t have a partner, I’d say it was her version of Tinder.

She has been given a column in metro.co.uk starting today, she should be pleased but no, first thing she does is have a dig at Jamie Oliver for using capers in his television show, then goes on to use them herself in her 'recipe' (mashed up sardines on toast). She really comes across as spiteful and unpleasant, why is any media outlet giving her airtime?
She's beyond parody

She’s vile. She doxxed me publicly on her IG account when I called her out on something a couple of years ago. At the time I stupidly had my real name vaguely linked to my Insta and she managed to pull a news article about me and posted about it with my full name and location.
That’s awful! She really is vile

Jack Monroe and her vultures are making their rounds, she not TV presenting material simple as, they cannot afford to to employ someone whom is awkward , volatile and unpredictable onscreen, if she was that bothered she would of invested it some camera gear and set up her own YouTube cooking show to practice, considering her girlfriend works in TV it shouldn’t be that hard to get help.

As for the last time Jack didn’t invent cooking on a bloody budget.

She's literally asking for credit and recognition for doing the bare minimum. The type of thing usually practiced by that 'mediocre e white male' stereotype. Give me a break jack, this is a time for heroes and you aren't one of them.
It’s always has to be about Jack, me, me,me...

Someone should tweet that to her.
It's actually quite bad cos as a director you have a number of *legal* responsibilities you have to fulfil and you can get in shit for not doing it.

I'm not au fait with the ins & outs of TV commissioning, maybe it's the wild west, but I know a lot of larger firms won't engage with sub/contractors unless they're all legit and above board and up to date on CH (& audited for larger entities, this'd be N/A for her obvs) and all the other stuff like credit worthiness & KYC type checks for other risks. I can't imagine someone that can't be fucked to file their accounts is going to bag a major prime time TV show??

There are people on twitter enabling her to scam money out of the more gullible.

Plus the grovelling virtue signallers, desperate to demonstrate how kind and full of social conscience they are.

She put up a Paypal link for direct donations, referring to them as ‘tips’. How thick are these sycophants?

I remember her going on about how happy she was to be moving there.
