And to do the #JackMonroesLockdownLarder at the same time as JO's show is so childish and pathetic. She is so deeply unlikeable.

🙄at all her followers calling her selfless with her tweets. She's getting loads more pateron donations, selling alot of books,no doubt getting PayPal donations and massively raising her profile. She wouldn't do this if there wasn't something in it for her. It's many things, but definitely not sellfless

She's certainly doing just fine at the moment 🤑

And I get very strong 'poor people cosplay' vibes from her shtick, much like that Cash Bird who got loads of backlash from the mouth frothing instahuns.
Definitely, it all seems like acting poor. She's seriously out of touch to think she's a revolutionary pioneer by making risotto without Aborio.

Jamie Oliver is a millionaire (and Jack is very obsessed with that fact) but I think he gets the plight of people far more than jack ever could.

Does jack really know poverty because of those two hellish years where she (allegedly) couldn't buy a couple of £160 perfumes for her birthday? 🧐

This moron is being interviewed from home right now on BBC News. She’s saying we should all make soups, casseroles, curries at this time with tinned food and rice. 🥴🙄 So, basic advice that everyone knows then.

Jack comes across as totally uncharismatic, cringey, awkward and stiff on camera.

She’s now promoting her twitter and directing people to her Twitter profil where we can get more of her shitty tips (in between her begging for donations, (get a real job will ya?!!) and her shoutyness and her professional victim behaviour).
She's a dick for many reasons but its far easier to get fresh food in the shops than store cupboard foods - her advice is moot for many people who were able to buy tins, dried pasta, rice etc.

I’d call her out for the affiliate link but it’s New Years Day and I don’t have the time to deal with the self indulgent drama Jack would spew if I did.

I thought she was always complaining about how much it costs to host her website without charging people 🤥 so surely she wouldn't want more visitors giving her more ad money 😆

The site will go down and she'll ask for more money to host it🙄
Just gone on her site for the first time and it's a visual cluster fuck, isn't it. There's a plugin called Ghostery which anyone can use - she has awin affiliate tracking & google adsense & some other social stuff so it's thoroughly monetised, but absurdly no Google Analytics? I've checked her source code & I can't see anything else analytics-y (disclosure: not a web dev so may have missed it) which is really odd considering she's always been online, plus these sorts of insights should be really important to her and help her pitch to brands?!

Maybe one to add to the 20 hour a day to do list once you've finished organising your books x

Hang on, this person has an assistant?! And she's literally begging for money on social media?

I know lots of people who work freelance. I don't know a single one who can afford an 'admin assistant'.

* Off topic but chef related.
Guys I'm gutted. The formerly lovely Rick Stein is refusing to pay his laid off workers. I am so surprised and disappointed in him.

I don't doubt TV takes way more time than you think, but she's really over egging all the time that goes into 6 minutes on this morning. It's just daytime TV that's all very slap dash, not a movie.

So many holes in her story, it's her job doing recipes. It really should be taking that long doing all this stuff. If she has 4 hours traveling couldn't she eat then? Many people have to take a train from Essex into London every day Jack and don't have a driver.

1. She has to commute to London
2. The commute gives her anxiety due her being 'immunocompromised'
3. She's struggling to pay for her train fares
4. Jamie makes more money than her
5. Other cooking shows get more views than hers and its not fair as she is the 'store cupboard pioneer'.
6. Due to commuting she is struggling to make time at home for anything.
7. Other cooking shows are stealing her ideas. She invented the jackfruit and chickpea, aren't you aware??
8. Jamie is more popular than her
9. She's physically and mentally exhausted. She cares for a son, commutes, runs a house and writes recipes.
10. Please donate to paypal she's skint on the breadline.

The list could go on.
it’s going to be bloody painful watching and listening to her nasal droning monotone voice. Can’t wait to see what a shitshow it will be! Pro Chef Matt’s face will be a picture when she combined cans of hoops and coconut milk together , warms in in a bowl the shakes a few dusty dried herbs over it and presents it to the camera..

I have to admit that I think if you are unable to feed yourself and your child and/or if you are attempting suicide then your child should be taken into care. Not to punish anyone but to ensure the wellbeing of the child and give the parent a chance to get treatment, rest and regroup. No child should have to live with someone who is attempting suicide. I did as a girl and it left scars for life.
I got a distinctly "off" feeling about her from that piece at the very start, the lack of details about her family and son's father (who it turns out are thoroughly decent people, and well able to help her) and the reference to a suicide attempt. The latter seemed to be a sign (if true) of someone who needed far more help than financial, and this was totally glossed over by everyone in the rush to politicise it. I know there are many people who are trapped by poverty, but her story just seemed to be a temporary situation caused by an administrative mess-up, where there was a delay in her housing benefit being paid. I thought I was a mean cow for thinking that at the time but it was from my own experience as a single parent - her account just seemed so hyperbolic and it didn't ring true.

It's a shame because the broader points are valid and there are so many people who could use a voice to speak up for them. I don't think it's her though.

So weird to focus on what others have that you don’t in that petulant way. It’s not healthy.
She's obsessed with how wealthy Jamie Oliver is. Always calling him that millionaire or saying how big his house is.

Both Jack and her partner are earning enough to be in the top 5% if not the top 1% with their combined household earnings. But that isn't enough. It's puerile.

Be content with what you have rather than looking at others, there's always going to be higher mountains. It's deeply unfulfilling to be so materialistic.

Is she home educating her child at all amongst this? Surely that should be her top priority by far?

Literally all she is advising people to do on her lockdown larder whatever hour, is to add everything together. What is so revolutionary I don't understand. Her followers are acting like she's inventing 3 course meals from dust.
