I think her “it’s OK not to be OK” thread was nicked or at least heavily lifted from one which did the rounds in Lockdown #1. Jack is never knowingly original after all. Either way, it’s trite and shallow bull and helps no one.
And yet again, she’s firing out tweet after pointless tweet and we’re barely past breakfast. Dial it down a bit Jack - look how Nigella does it, just a couple of tweets a day, a recipe and maybe a couple of nice comments where people have cooked one of her recipes.
It is NOT necessary to respond to every comment from your followers with YET ANOTHER highly unlikely, unfunny and uninteresting anecdote from your repertoire. 😴😴😴

I want to add my two penneth on the OK to not be OK business. It is not helpful at all for people that suffer real depression. There is a huge difference between having a bad day, feeling fed up for no apparent reason, and depression. The idea that you have a day in bed eating crisps and not washing can be the start of a downwards spiral that can lead to a very dark place. I could go on, but from what I have read on these pages, everyone knows where I am coming from.

You lot of Fraus have done more to counter my dark days than and trite OK to not be OK rubbish. I needed encouragement to laugh, and be positive, not allow myself to be overtaken by depression. I thank you all for that. 😘
My 2 penneth would be that no, it isn't ok for people with a clinical illness to start showing signs that they are becoming more poorly and are struggling. It shouldn't be just a shoulder shrug and accepted as fine to be that way.

It is ok to to accept that these things are happening because you're unwell, and not to beat yourself up with guilt, harsh self criticism etc, as that can make things worse and also lead to very dark places.

But the message should be, that it's ok to feel what you are feeling, but let's try and see what will fix it?

Just what I think anyway ❤

Does anyone know, are these her words? Has she written them before or something? They're very familiar to me, down to the banana bread comment. Can't think where I've read it though 🤔

Urgh her comment about Louisa is nauseating. She sounds so snotty and "I know better than you pleb, so shut up" .

Plenty of people know what it's like to live on the breadline and what it means to be unemployed right now. I mean, It's not exactly rare these days? I'm one of them 😐

Not digging on Louisa btw, just Jack's snotty comment. I think it's brilliant to raise awareness but having someone like Jack fighting her corner does her no favours.

Also she is definitely doing sex wrong if she'd rather have an old person's boiled sweet instead 🙄

The portion sizes are tiny as well which makes the costings even more useless to the average person. She says it serves 2 but 80g of pasta is not 2 portions. I think about 75g is the recommended amount for 1 portion. This would probably serve 1 average adult, but by using tiny portions she makes it seem half the price per portion than it actually is. And then at the end she says "Makes enough for two but, er, I ate this all myself…." that's because it doesn't make enough for 2!
Had a look at the recipe. Why does she chop herbs in the faffiest way possible? Furthermore, this is raw garlic she's adding to the pasta?? What is the MATTER with her??

I'd be pissed if I were Louisa. Jack, swooping in and denying me the opportunity to respond like a grown up. Get to duck!

Remember the last time she was collating MH tips for lockdown? One of hers was "forget about routines and just take naps whenever you want."

She is so, so irresponsible.

Quite disturbing behaviour too. Regardless of what Louisa is like, patrolling your ex/partner’s social media like that is not normal. She gives me bad vibes

I think that Quick n Hot Banana Pot is the laziest "recipe" yet. It even surpasses the Jaffa Cake in a Pot mess.

No wonder Jack was never invited to Saturday Kitchen - or to the Tin Can festival - or to the mental health recipe book.

And with a typical JM response, rude, cuntish, totally lacking in empathy, and going off on an a licking tangent that nobody asked for or cares about.

Going Private / Public ..... Not doing the Recaps / Doing the Recaps - this is 'taking a break from this hellscape' all over again. Handing your platform over to a POC (Person of Corduroy) and then reclaiming it back one thread later when they start getting right up in your niche. What next - a cartoon avatar?

I’m like a cross between James Brown with his encore cloak and this Al here:

She did this on Louisa's insta a while back - Jack inserted herself into an exchange and said Louisa was on her sofa that very moment.

Louisa has a professional job that requires dealing with people in a professional way - and then Jack appears and brings everything down to her childish level. Louisa should distance herself from Jack.
