Unsure, it was a part of her erm... 'poetry' about disaffected youth taking ecstacy and being raided by police horses or some incomprehensible nonsense.

Cretinous fool. Does she understand why the three companies failed, especially Jessop? (Hint - it happened at the time when buying online started to become popular because it was cheaper. And her a 'photographer' and all).
Get a job, guest. A real one.
Morning/evening, Vali.😊
The quality of cameras on mobile phones (the irony) was also a big factor!

Wow, this is the first time I’ve seen the HILARIOUS spiritual beach story..

What the actual fuck? I’m cringing so much it’s making me shiver a little bit. Not just the blatant bullshit but the way she writes, just eugh.

“Dear reader” has to be one of the worst phrases to ever be used on social media, so it’s no surprise Jack is a fan.
Oh, how we laughed! :cautious:

Another suitcase, another holiday hall. View attachment 2284017
On topic: I am hoping guest’s going to pull one of her “what I think the youngsters wear to festivals” looks together for Greenbelt again, for decency’s sake once again covers up the wonky bum of the boogly eyed skeleton naked lady with a big red sticker, and like some “working class types” she once saw dancing around outside a corner shop in a gritty musical documentary called “Come on Eileen” she unhooks one of her dungaree straps like the fella in the doc. View attachment 2284026
I once lived on the street 🍉 🍉 🍉 where most of that documentary was filmed (though the shop was actually on the corner of the next street along). Lembit Opik MP lived a few doors down. Not very working class, though still a bit down-at-heel by guest's standards.

My Gran used to make proggy mats but she never had one in the kitchen.
We did, but that's because it was a farmhouse kitchen with armchairs and sofas in it, and where basically everything in life happened. Never had it by the actual cooker or table though cos... Hygiene and elf n safety, innit?! Plus, you'd never have shifted the pet lambs to be able to cook if the rug had been there. They were often put in the bottom warming oven of the Aga tho if very smol and underweight. (When the cat wasn't lording it in there!)

Grunking but I seem to recall someone else giving her credit for this - (was it get cape wear cape fly they've interacted before but I can't find the tweet I'm thinking of?)
The tweet said something like "I remember how you're responsible for them putting cameras in the council chambers"

I wondered at the time about the origin, but if it was literally her musing over something in her paper column, that's ridiculous. I'm guessing she heard someone talking about it who was actually campaigning to make it happen...wrote about it, then it happened.

Found it!
We were pushing for this shit in the late 90s and early noughties. As ever she was late to the party.

Gosh that intro is so illustrative of Greenbelt's ingrained snobbery and classism.

"Jack Monroe is a Tory cabinet’s nightmare – a coherent single mother"

Why would that be something unusual and worthy of note unless Greenbelt's view is that single mothers are generally incoherent?

She must make an absolute killing from Greenbelt attendees donating to the tip jar.

At this point they deserve each other.

See, I'm in 2 minds.
I think it exists but it isn't an original. The fact she's never posted a pic of it or said what the title of it is is very telling. Jack being Jack would be bragging about it and showing off. She wouldn't be able to help herself.
If it is an Emin it's a copy and she knows if she showed it or named it someone would point out that it wasn't true because some footballer has it in their lounge.
I could have sworn we’d seen the Emin. It was admittedly a small sketch but someone linked to a site with similar pieces selling at over £20k.

That's an important element, for sure - the blithe "lol what can I say? I'm a chaos! Tee-hee! Just a wee smol adorable chaos! You wouldn't be so cruel as to hold me accountable, would you?" act. It's an extension of the "not my fault because bad mentals/ADHD/etc, my actions are not only beyond my control but also completely excused" thing with an added gloss of "look at me" twee. 🤢

I've come round to the view that Simon thingy absolutely stitched her up in a brilliantly subtle way.
Love the profile pic! 😂

I just clocked your avatar and nearly fell out of bed laughing!

God, her singing...for someone so average she fully rates herself.
It seemed suitable to be such a judgemental-looking animule. (Albeit fuzzley and no doubt chill about being used as an animate sofa ).
