I’m glad Jack has highlighted the poorly cats needing help from a vet. My dog is currently not feline too good (I’ve put it behind a spoiler so nobody is upset), I know you lot here in my comments club want Rover fixed as much as I do, please could you help me get him to the vets by donating to my PayPal account at paymePal.com thankyou 🙏🏼
Come on now, I was brushing my teeth whilst trying to read this (I'm having to properly multitask to have even a hope of catching up) and that's just made me lose another few minutes cleaning up the toothpaste that spluttered all over my phone screen.

"Sort the house prices to mere four figure pounds again" - lol sorry, at what stage in history were house prices four figure sums? The 18th century?

"Local grocers and bakers and fishmongers and butchers" - as opposed to 50p maize snacks from your beloved Asda?

Yes. I think Hugh Fearnley Whittingstall did some work around this area? Working kitchens in prisons and a working restaurant? I know he is problematic but he's never claims to be something he's not. That's why I'm baffled as to why she wouldn't speak out about her work on this area. Particularly for women prisoners.
That sounds like it could be the Clink Charity (there may be others) - they run restaurants in a few prisons I think, including Styal (womens’ prison in Cheshire, near where I used to live). The prisoners work towards a professional qualification in catering/hospitality while they’re working, it sounds like a great initiative actually.
Jack doesn’t have a clue.

I just love the idea of LJC sitting there eating nice food whilst Jack is doing sad face over a packet of Smart Price maize snacks, looking for sympathy. Then LJC casually feeds a fox a hose and tells Jack to pay for it.
I am hereby ended.
All the madness of the Monrollercoaster this last week has tipped me
right over THE EDGE.

Going back to the Patreon thing… if a squig pays via credit card could they not claim back via Section 75 (I think that’s what it’s called)? And if you pay via debit card you could do a chargeback?

I know the chargeback thing isn’t well known but I’ve done it two or three times and the bank has managed to get my money back in less than a month. I think they just take the money out of the recipient’s account and unless they can prove that they’ve provided you goods / a service / what they’ve sold you is fit for purpose then the money is returned to you.

Imagine if all these squigs whacked in a section 75 / chargeback request. Jack could potentially have thousands and thousands of pounds taken out of her account almost overnight.

Yeah I went from a 36E measured by M&S who remain absolutely steadfast with old measuring methods to 30H (really not as HUGE as it sounds but no supermarket or high street bras for me so I only have one because I'm genuinely struggling financially) when using Boob or Bust method which was way more comfortable too.
Hi Just Lou thank-you for the book or bust mention as had not heard of them before! I've been having nightmares as old bras no longer fit as hrt and menopause have made my boobs bigger but M&S measuring wasnt having any of it. After a year got fed up with spilling out and bought a bra next cup size up anyway and fit much better, but will be measuring with this method tomorrow!

I mean my "OH" 🤮 was born in the v late 70s into abject poverty and it was bleeping horrendous for him and his family but I guess there was at least a fishmongers nearby that they couldn't afford.
My parents start their married life in a one bedroom flat in Glasgow in the early 70s. It still cost a 5 figure sum.

Ya know with everything wrong with Jack I'm surprised Area 51 haven't taken her just to check she isn't an actual alien.

Come down hard on it all you like, it's still the truth. But we know how averse to that you are.

I was born in 1972 and can confirm, it was absolute rit. She's so desperate to be poor, it's grim.

I am strongly of the opinion that LJC bribed the fox in an attempt to make Jack break up with her. Picture it, if you will:

Fernando the Fox* takes a drag from his cigarette and blows rings of blue smoke into the dusk air. He's had a great day screaming like a banshee and eating leftover tamales from next door's food recycling. As he deliberates whether to have a rummage around in the skip on the drive, or to flirt with Vivian the Vixen in number 31's garden, he hears someone approaching his den.

"Hola," he drawls, as LJC comes to a stop in front of him.

LJC glances over her shoulder. In her hands is the garden hose, clutched tight. "I need a favour," she says in a low voice. "I need you to eat this hose."

Fernando scoffs. "Eat it?"

"I'll leave the lid off the bins for you," LJC hisses, thrusting the hose at him. "Just have a nibble, and leave the evidence somewhere she'll see it. I've already dusted the TV and broken it, and failed to cook the recipe that she painstakingly wrote out for me. I'm hoping this will be the straw that breaks the camel's back. I can't cope anymore, not since she made me that smoothie bowl with the picture of my dead dog on it."

She's gone before Fernando can reply, leaving the hose at the foot of the eucalyptus tree. He stares at it, then at LJC's retreating figure, then back to the hose again. The rubber does not look enticing.

Then again, the prospect of the bin lids being left off...

I don't know why the fox is Mexican, but he is.
