I would love to know the true story behind Marcus Rashford and why Jack is being sidelined and unacknowledged. For that is what has happened. He has not publicly engaged with her once.
They met at the GQ shoot for the first (and possibly only) time but Jack does love to imply they have worked together for ages behind the scenes. If so it simply makes no sense for him not to have had ANY twitter conversations or even banter at all. Especially as she tags him at every opportunity.
And not being included in the letter? That is not accidental. People even commented 'don't forget Jack' in his comments and he didn't respond.
The saying she is working with him and Tom Kerridge is very odd.
I can't work out if MR just is really quite unaware of her, or is wisely not wanting to get associated with her chaos. He seems very generous with his praise and acknowledging others efforts - so it isn't a matter of wanting to keep glory for himself.

There was a recent article about Marcus Rashford working with Roc Nation who seem to know what they're doing. I imagine they'll carefully screen who he and the campaign are associated with. Accepting an award from someone isn't much of an issue but to work with someone you'd want them to have a good track record and useful contacts. Jack has none of those things, if she'd put the work in and behaved like an adult over the last seven years she would have and would be very likely be working on his campaign. Sadly for her she's blown it and I think 2020 was the point of no return. After her screaming tantrum about THAT MAN she needed to be brilliant on DKL, she wasn't even mediocre. Her campaigning work is shrieking on Twitter which anyone can do. There are plenty people who'd love to discredit Marcus and his campaign, bringing a liability like Jack on board risks making the whole thing a laughing stock and undoing the good work he and his team have done to date. His campaign isn't about him and I bet if he'd been told from the beginning that he could achieve all he has without making it public he'd have done so.

Marcus will definitely have a management team dealing with his SM. I also suspect, whilst he is clearly passionate and experienced, he is just the face of this and it’s possibly his mum/family/friends driving the actual campaign. The whole idea could well have been a family “collab” and not actually MR idea. MR recognises his power and platform and is more than prepared to do the photos and interviews...not sure he was prepared for the whole Jack Monroe meat balls gig though...I mean duck you’d want a bastard knighthood not a GQ award if you knew you’d have to be dealing with that shite!

As a Manc who doesn’t really delve into celebrity I had no idea who this little mockney urchin was until the lovely @Pocahontas, @heretoreaditall2019 and @Breakdance Badass slid into my DMs (I had 500+) screaming, howling and clawing at me to leave the Fod thread and endure this canal of bullying ninnies. Obviously as someone who worked in law I should have known all about her, what with her 100% litigation success and the numerous allegations coming in to CPS, but I was just tit at my job.

I don’t think JM is particularly well known outside of twitter and I can’t imagine why a 23 year old England and Premiere league footballer from Manchester, would have even the slightest knowledge of her not least when in 2017 (when he was 19), peak Jack in papers for suing KH, Manchester had some serious tit of it’s own to deal with in the form of a suicide bomb that killed 23 people. I think that he, like me, may well have missed that epic Jack fame moment.

So the fact is, she’s just not relevant and even if the people behind this campaign knew her, they would certainly not want to jeopardise all the excellent work they are doing by involving this batshit, screeching, slop serving, hashtag founding, JC loving/hating, shaking wreck into their

Someone linked a story about Allegra in a previous thread. In it, Allegra said her child calls her Mama and her ex-wife is Mummy. So this may be where Jack got it from. I noticed a few similarities in the Allegra article (her turn of phrase etc) and how Jack writes/speaks but I can't remember them now, I'm so tired.

The thing I don’t understand about her Mama claims is that Mummy/mum is so dominant in most of England that, in my experience, even children who have a native language that uses Mama largely end up using Mum(my) (or the local form, Mam, mom etc) in at least English.

I can understand it how Allegra describes it, where Mummy and Mama are different people, but for Jack it makes no sense.

I watched the video.

It’s like a terrible Year 10 project. She’s reading what she wrote already! Surely if she’s that knowledgeable and passionate (and this is allegedly her area of expertise) she could speak for 30 second without cue cards? I know in my area of expertise I could do anything from half a minute up to an hour without prep and without needing to read it from somewhere.

Her eyes are as creepy as her quoting Jesus. And he final delivery of the catchphrase is cut short!

All in all, 3/10.

I agree, I think she can see that barging her way into the FSM campaign hasn't gone as she'd hoped, and she isn't going to be included as an equal key campaigner. So she'll be looking for the next bandwagon now, where she can be at the top and centre. She's not interested in activism for any campaign where the spotlight won't be on her, which is another reason why we know the "behind the scenes" work is horseshit.
