Also she clearly knows NOTHING about the zero waste movement. It’s above all about packaging. Food waste is a part of it, sure. But mostly keeping things out of the trash (meaning they can always go in the compost and still be considered zero waste). Using peels and fiber from veg/fruit is common, but more importantly in the movement is how the food was sourced/the packaging etc.

I’m in the states (prices for food in grocery stores are much higher here) and I could make a far better dinner for 4 for $20. First ingredient: butter. She’s really not good at what she does. re food bank donations, we live opposite a church that helps with a food bank at the main church in the village, an extra bag of goodies will be dropped off with our donation tomorrow night

I also disagree a female relative was very sick later confirmed corona was shaking paramedic told us it was her body trying to cool itself as her temp as 40 she was severely ill she could not have moved from her bed let alone tweeted all day and fannied about with cheap sausages

This is COMPLETELY off topic, but a reminder that Amazon Prime Now grocery deliveries are reliable if you want to avoid supermarkets before xmas (if they operate in your area, of course). I've pretty much bought all of my food shopping online from them the past month or so and the last 'xmas food' bits are arriving tomorrow (it'll all keep in fridge/freezer). If you do use Prime Now, check out Lidgate's meat - Nigella's mentioned this butcher - fantastic bacon.
