I mainly agree but remember Allen hasn't been convicted of any crime (unlike Polanski). Allegations have been made against him but not proved. I'm not saying that he hasn't done anything questionable but the world should not be a kangaroo court for people outside of the law to decide who is guilty or not.

The Dylan Farrow allegations he has not been convicted of and whilst technically not illegal the way his relationship with his current wife started was messed up. He and Mia Farrow had been in a relationship for years and had a child together and he still had an affair with her adopted daughter. It doesn't matter if he didn't raise her she is legally his son's sister.

Trans people are literally just trying to get on with their lives they aren't trying to attack or take over anything. These are the same narratives that supposed "feminists" use time and time again.

Transpeople will not be erased, they have always existed and their voices will be heard.

They think they speak for all LGBTQ+ people when they do not. This community is meant to be inclusive, and this is coming from a lesbian who is often erased in the community. However, that won't stop me from fully supporting the trans community and making sure they know they belong, and that they aren't invalidated or erased by rotten souls like this.

On rare occasions you get hermaphrodites. It is rare and has nothing to do with gender dysphoria.

Why? How can you possibly be ok with men and women wanting to disfigure their healthy bodies? It is mental illness to want to be castrated or to have your breasts removed.

As someone who has struggled with eating disorders it is not ok to sit back and indulge it or encourage me to not eat. It's also fucked up to say it's not a mental illness simply so it doesn't offend me...jeez

Quite the massive leap there to eating disorders which are classified as a mental illness which have nothing to do with my post.

Many trans people have mental illnesses as a result of their gender dysphoria and feeling unable to get access to a body they feel happy with.

Read about turner's syndrome, triple x, kilnefelter etc. Rare doesn't mean it doesn't exist. And these have nothing to do with gender dysphoria. I was simply showing that biological sex isn't binary.

My son is trans (FTM) and thankfully we've not really had any huge hiccups in terms of his acceptance. His friends are great, our family are great. His bio dad... not so great, but he's not in his life anyway. He finds it hard that there are some 'activists' out there that ARE taking it too far. He couldn't give a rats ass about a lot of the issues being brought up by these people. The phrase 'women menstrate' doesn't bother HIM but he says he knows others that it does bother. but he thinks there's bigger fish to try.

Anyway re: the bathrooms. He looks like a boy, but he does opt for unisex bathrooms if there is one. If not, he will go to the women's bathroom because he worries what people would say if he uses the mens. Personally I don't think anyone would even notice but it's his choice. He'll go in the mens if he's with his brothers but otherwise he goes in the female. It doesn't bother him that much right now if he really needs the bathroom, but he usually tries to avoid going in public to save the hassle of trying to decide. Does he go into the male and risk people calling him out for not being a cismale? Or does he go into the female and risk being called a boy?

I think unisex bathrooms are a useful solution for that dilemma (alongside a female/male bathroom, not instead of) but I also don't really personally see the issue with letting transwomen use female bathrooms, and vice versa. But obviously I have factors that could make that opinion biased.

I’ve not twisted anything. I’ve stated what she said and the sentiment of why people are upset. People wanted to know why this was an issue.

This is how her tweet has been understood by 100s of people and rather than clarify her intentions she chose to escalate and toss more fuel to the fire.

And not saying this to escalate with you- I just want to share the side of the trans community - but a trans male could disagree. There are plenty of F to M trans people who still menstruate because of where they are in their journey. They identify as male but are still in a female body. Physically you are correct. But sex and gender identity are two different things.

Sure, she can think a certain way, but if she’s creating a hostile environment at work because of her refusal to refer to someone with their preferred pronoun, and it’s against company policy, then the company ultimately have the right to choose not to renew your contract. This is what the judge said:

So I personally don’t see how somebody can stand with Maya and also have support for the trans community, which JK claims to do. She was deliberately misgendering people and it just seems very cruel.
