Something no other people know: I was sugar baby
I really like older men, like men in their 40s and 50s even though I’m only 20.There’s just something so attractive about older, powerful men and that’s why I’m a sugar baby. It’s actually how I met my older partner

I grew up with an alcoholic father. It was a horrible, horrible thing to live with. In the daytime, he was a loving dad. It at night, he was a mess.

I recently went through 5 months of counselling to try and move past it. I have a fear of alcohol. I won’t walk down the drink aisle in Tesco. I won’t be near anyone who is drunk.

My friend texted me recently, just catching up, and she was saying how she was sooo pissed, had too much to drink. I instantly closed the conversation and never replied. She probably thought I was rude. She hasn’t sent me a Christmas card back. I just can’t have anything to do with alcohol.
So sorry to hear

I have never told anyone this. I am 50 and in a relationship with a guy 13 older than me. He is married, but does not have a relationship with his wife. So he tells me. I have met his wife and she has confirmed this. He is a very wealthy man. I absolutely do not want to marry him. I had such an awful first marriage, I am ever going back there...I feel this is why I like him, I never ever want to get married again....

this is foul.

when you’ve peed in the jug, what do you do with it?! Leave it sitting there? That’s actually vile. 🤢
My old uni housemates did this because the bathroom was downstairs (it was an old house), and they didn't want to go down in the middle of the night. We had a dog and one time the dog knocked it over .

When I say they, it was a couple sharing the room and they'd both pee in the jug. She'd also empty her menstrual cup in it and one time was sick in it after drinking too much.

Growing up my mum had god knows how many partners. I lost count after about 20. Her and my dad split in 1997 and yea I’ve forgotten half of the people she brought into our lives. At one point, I was about 16, she was actually seeing 3 men at once. Didn’t even try to hide it. One of the poor sods was madly in love with her as well and she just used him for the attention. One of the others was married and mum was blatantly being used by him. Us kids always came third to men and alcohol. One time her love of her life at the time had broken up with her (because she was bleeping mental) and she took a load of pills with a bottle of something. I don’t know if this was intentional or for attention but it certainly confirmed to me that her children weren’t her priority and never will be.
We get along now most of the time but I don’t think I’ll ever understand her. She has a big problem with alcohol but according to her she doesn’t because she goes to work.
Ive tried talking to my partner about my childhood and how I was brought up but he doesn’t understand why I feel the way I do about my mum. He thinks you should love you mum no matter what. But he has a good, loving mum who has always prioritised him. He also thinks I’m being silly but he knows my mum completely different to what I do and there’s just somethings you can never forget/forgive.

I think my friend is a bit rubbish as a parent and doesn’t make enough of an effort to see his child. Obviously I’d never say this to him because Merry hell would break loose, I don’t actually want to feel like this but over the years I’ve seen enough to know. It’s sad.

Haha I have a mate who used the period pain excuse all the time. One day her boss came to her and said ‘hey your period date is not consistent ‘
This reminds me of being in secondary school and using period pain to get out of PE repeatedly until one day, big scary male gym teacher who took us for cross country announced loudly in front of the entire two classes that were running that day “Miss Ekkehine, I suggest if you’re menstruating this frequently that you see your doctor at your earliest convenience” I was mortified 😂

I had a boss (f) who was a right witch. Loved to humiliate her staff - in public at any given opportunity. (This was before every car had dash cams). So me and one of my work colleagues knew where she lived, she parked her shiny flashy car on the main road, so we drove past her car, I leant out the window with my steering lock and smashed off her wing mirror. Took a few attempts but so worth it when I saw it in the staff car park. Same mate was being cheated on by her boyfriend so we superglued matchsticks into the door locks of his van. Another mate - also being cheated on, boyfriend had an entertainer cosworth, loved it more than life, so we poured cooking oil and stones all over the bonnet. They got married... 🤦🏼‍♀️
Not so long ago I was in Waitrose with my daughter. I was perusing the bread and she wondered off. this absolute little b and his mother pushing a pushchair with another kid were standing next to me. This little fucker was having a massive tantrum and she was trying to negotiate with this 3 foot terrorist about what HE wanted, and he was screaming etc, as she looked so embarrassed, she walked away and as he went past I did a big stride forward tripping this little hole straight on his face!!!! Slap! He was crying and mum came running back and I said “aww are you ok..” 😏 and his mum carried him off! One thing I cannot abide is children in charge of parents!! Don’t feel bad at all.
Literally wtf? He’s only 3 he’s still learning? That’s disgusting. Vile. Think u need to try an be a bit more of a decent human being. Your annoyed at a 3 year olds behaviour but your how old and damaged someone’s car and abused a child? ERM?

I can relate to this so much. My mum was the same (minus the alcohol). One time she started crying saying she was so lonely. I put my arms around her and said "you're not lonely. You have me and my brother". And she went "not you, I mean adult company". Felt pretty worthless.

She got into a relationship soon after and he moved in after two weeks. She didn't even ask or tell us and when I asked why he had moved in so soon she said "it's my house". Then she asked a relative to look after me for a while as my behaviour was affecting their relationship and if I didn't go she "wouldn't have a relationship anymore". Moved out at 15 and didn't look back.

I have severe self hatred issues and have battled with low self esteem nearly all my life, I think it stems from my childhood and being bullied for most of it. It’s now so bad that from time to time I get anxious/panicked over the tiniest things like my body image, my boyfriend not replying to me or wanting time alone. My trust issues and abandonment issues are ginormous and it’s really hard to let go of them. I keep overthinking lately about imagining scenarios where my boyfriend is cheating on me. I feel so sensitive like a house made out of glass I feel like I could shatter at any moment. I feel so scared most the time and idk over what. I guess the fear of being left behind, of being abandoned. The crazy thing is I have no reason to even feel this way!! My boyfriend always shows me he loves me. But still I get these thoughts in my mind and I wish I knew how to let go of them.

I could have written a lot of this myself, I know how you feel. It's heartbreaking knowing you come second to your own mum compared to alcohol and men.

This is really sad. I've seen quite a few of your posts and you clearly are struggling quite a bit. I genuinely hope you manage to gain more confidence and self love in time. I hope you have people around you who care about you and make you feel important, and maybe looking at some form of therapy may help for you. It didn't personally for me, but it could benefit you to vent to someone perhaps. Remember that those guys in the past who cheated on you (I know this from recent threads of yours) and hurt you have the issue because decent and happy people don't go around hurting others. Unfortunately they've projected their issues onto you in selfish ways, and now you're self punishing and thinking you're the problem.

I went on a night out when I was 18 with a friend in another city and I don’t remember much from the night but I brought a man back to her house he was probably in his 30’s. My friend went to sleep and me and him stayed in the living room and i genuinely can’t remember a thing after that I know I woke up without my pants but no memory of the night he left probably about 6am and the next day I got a text from him he took my phone and called his own to have my number while I slept. A few weeks later I met my now partner (I’m 24 now) and he messaged me when I said I had a boyfriend he got really abusing in his messages I blocked him obviously. I always wonder what happened that night even trying to piece it together at the time it was just blank like I blacked out 🤷‍♀️

Yes, new boyfriend would always be moved in with in days or weeks! The first person my mum started seeing after splitting up with my dad, was a lot younger than her. Once they finished, she went out with his best mate who had been round ours 90% of the time too! I found out when I was a bit older my mum and dad split because she cheated on him. I’ve never found out who with but I suspect it would’ve been the first guy she went out with after considering they worked together 🙄

It was awful as a child and it really affected me in my teenage years as you can imagine. I know now that I was suffering with depression and would self harm. I also started missing school, going out all weekend, drinking and hanging around with much older people. My mum doesn’t know any of this or how I felt. She saw one of my cuts once when I was about 14 and just told me how bleeping stupid I was so I knew not even to bother opening up to her.

similar kind of story. afteran awful break up i was a wreckand drinking too much. met a guy on tinder, i invited him over and only remember hil arriving nothing else. woke up the next day with him gonand blood all over my sheets. no idea what happened but i knew we hadsex.. i wasn't injured or anything tho so no idea. i spoke to him later and he told me he hadn't used a condom. i got an std test after which was thankfully negative. i also saw later on fb that he was in fact still with his gf not single as he had claimed

I have the fear of cancer. For years I have been convinced I have it in one form or another. I am that scared of finding something I NEVER take my bra off, the bra has to be black, never touch or let my partner touch my left breast. Have to sleep on black sheets in case something shows up on the sheets. Completely took over my life. I have now got antidepressants and it has took the edge off the obsession.
Oh bless you! I really hope you find relief, it’s so hard ❤ I completely understand how you feel. I have to be watched showering so I don’t start poking everywhere basically, can’t be left for long especially when the kids are at school. It first started with my boobs too. After I watched a family member die of cancer it traumatised me. I was put on a low dose of antidepressants - long story short, ended up having an allergic reaction and ended up with light nerve damage in my brain. I ended up so stressed from the constant “C” panic I ended up in hospital mimicking a stroke. Had a full body scan, found nothing at all. But the thoughts still stay.
All medical professionals have said ‘Health anxiety’ I never knew it could even happen.
Take care, I wish you the best ❤❤

3) I think I’m only with my partner for the money. We do have children, he’s a great dad, generally a nice person but we have nothing in common... this relationship is not for me. I sit in the house 24/7 while he does everything he wants. I’m miserable,he knows this. Easier to stay quiet and just put up with it.
(Don’t want to jinx it) Since writing this our relationship has got so much better. And we are generally enjoying each other’s company. I look forward to him coming home from work/weekends. 🤞🏻
