I think it all feels too performative now.
Plus the whole I'm poor business one minute, then the next she's going to New York, or buying £85 dresses, or £10 a time on Christmas baubles. It comes across as both stupid and insensitive. I think she probably has more money than a lot of people her age, but spends her money on that so feels poor. She would have been better approaching it from a position of discussing budgeting, and how to get better at that - which I think many people can relate to irrespective of income- than making out she's on the breadline one minute and spend spend spending the next!
