I would love to know if Ted is really incapable of playing alone or if Jen and Al are actually the ones who can’t let him play alone. A 5 year old should be able to play alone in the garden for half an hour without it being a huge deal. Yesterday my 18month old moved pasta from one bowl to another for 25 minutes while I cooked her tea. It was great but not insta post worthy.
It’s so strange, there’s a couple of other instagramers that are the same with their kids, apparently they can’t play alone or don’t like toys, maybe because you’ve never encouraged them to play alone?
my mum never played with me when I was a child and all of my brothers and sisters are 7/10/11 years older than me and I literally never played with them either so I only ever played alone in my room. My mum would occasionally play a board game with me, but it was rare, some parents are just too overbearing.

I just saw the ‘half an hour of independent play’ honestly she should know a child of that age should be able to do at least 45 minutes... not with someone say 2 meters away.

I think all their post has done is confirmed that they themselves doubted their decision over the part time schooling they choose. There post only highlights the fact they have concerns about teds social skills and his emotional wellbeing.I find it really bizzare to be honest their comments. I have never felt the need to post about one of my childrens school reports and yet again be so OTT about it. I mean a report about a 5 year old is hardly ever going to be anything other than pleasant and nice is it!!
This was another point I forgot to highlight. It seems almost like they feel they needed validated. I absolutely believe they were doubting themselves, hence the hysteria at the gates and 'clutching eachother in the kitchen' as they wept were exactly down to this. They always bleat on about how what they do is for them, their decisions for their child but they seem to be desperate to prove to everyone that they were right.... well er you always were because he is your child and you know him best
I wonder what the parents at the school think of them. Hes on the governors board is he not? On the lookout for a new wife or just good old a licking ?
