Agree to disagree. And I say that being of the mind that she is absolutely toxic for the kids at the moment. But she is also fundamentally their primary parent living with them in their primary home and courts will so often shy away from anything deemed heavy handed in regards to those arrangements unless they can prove a safeguarding issue, which can be a high threshold to meet. I accept it could absolutely go any way, family court matters are so notoriously oblique and inconsistent. But I really would be surprised if any decisive action is taken at this point.

I mean if she wants 50/50 she will be forced into some intervention. Not that they will take it away , but they could for a little while.

Does this take long?

I missed the first few threads as only discovered Tattle 2 weeks ago. I didn’t realise, that Ioan’s fans despised Alice even before they were married!!! Poor man! He had to defend her for 20 years… that must have taken an awful toll on his mental health and as well showed great strength of character to defend someone for so many years. So this is a long standing pattern of behaviour for her and not merely a reaction to the stress of separation. I honestly wonder why it took IG so long to leave her.

Dunno, but Alice said family is very important to him. Perhaps after they had children, and he realized she's bonkers a couple of years later, he really still wanted for it to work. Maybe even, as Alice claimed she wanted, until the girls are grown up. But by now it has gotten so bad that he couldn't take it anymore.

Like most women in abusive or controlling relationships. It is hard to get out of them? Or you’re scared? Or he was worried to lose the children. Much easier said than done (so not having a go btw )

I hope she isn't as combative in real life as she is on twitter. I'm wondering how she got on with Piers Morgan! He's quite outspoken.

I'm guessing that Ioan has support from friends and family in private, Alice only seems to have her twitter followers. It's sad that she doesn't seem to have much real life support although I'm not surprised if the twitter outbursts are any indication of her offline behaviour.

I’m not sure how they do it in the US.

But here it would be conducted in a contact centre kind of place. Somewhere deemed child friendly. If it’s in a court building it would be
in a room deemed child friendly.
It would be done by a family court officer who would have a background in social work. I’ve never heard of it being filmed, but if it was no one would be allowed to see it. The court officer would make a report to the judge (in the uk).
Family courts are complicated, there really is no telling and quite often especially historically judges didn’t talk to the children involved.
The UK is signed up to the UNCRC 1989 which gives protections to children that the USA doesn’t, so it’s surely different there.
