I did prefer Sophie's, but can see why they chose Lia on the overall look. Neither were anything special. Hopefully some changes will be made next series!

After a knackering day traipsing round with the kids Sophies' would give me a headache, although Lias' bedrooms were boring and a bit generic. Agree it's been a bit lack lustre this year but has managed it's usual trick of getting me all fired up with some paint stripper and a nail gun!
I preferred Sophie’s too but absolutely no one was worthy of ‘master’ It’s becoming laughable now

I wouldn't mind having a JAZZY holiday let because it would be very memorable - and it's not your home so I feel you can go more OTT with it like Sophie did. I really did think Sophie would win before the final episode because her ideas probably translate better to a collection with Next. Where are all the dried flowers in your collection Lia, I thought that was your signature 
I like the tomato thing. Lol and the striped light. Irrelevant though as I'm not UK based. I don't believe for a second she designed any of it though. It's typical fast fashion homeware trends they've slapped her name on. Stripes and foody themed. Not ground breaking is it. They probably had a cheetah print group of stuff ready to go if Sophie won. These ladies are not product designers so it seems like a random prize for people who say they want to get into interior design.
This is why it's a rubbish prize. There's nothing particularly new in terms of patterns or colours.
A range of wallpapers or fabric would be an improvement or the actual interior design contracts of early series.
Jesus, her stuff is so generic. Even Dunelm has better designs!
Wow this is incredibly underwhelming stuff it has zero authenticity to it, just looks like a load of stuff they cobbled together, most of it is so bland too
The previous guy who won solely on his Portmerion design in the final had an instantly forgettable range for John Lewis that can't have shifted many units
Imagine most of this range will be in TK before Christmas.

I feel like the final episode was lacking? Previous finales you’ve seen more of the designer and their chosen friend to help them but this one there wasn’t much of that.
Yeah he would have to be host as well as judge I think. In Northern Ireland Home of the Year he's the host and then they have three local judges though he's always making jokes about how wonderful he is which wears thin.
