I thought it was very picky of Michelle to say about the guitar shop seating area - 'well you could've put some guitar magazines or something on the table'. I presume the team thought the owner was actually capable of that. He didn't need their 'vision' to be able to grasp the concept of putting a magazine on a table.
The trouble with the guitar shop was...... loads of little bits and bobs!

Things like in the seating area, all the chairs had arms! If you want to pick up a guitar and strum it to see how it feels, which is what most people will do before buying, you need seating without arms, so you can fit the guitar in!! What about a coffee machine or similar, to encourage people to sit and chat? The acoustic guitar side was where the empty stage was, why not set the stage up more for a gig? With lots more guitars in stands on the stage area? They could easily be moved if you wanted to do a performance? personally I thought the stage area was too empty

Apart from the windows which were great, I thought the guitar shop was a bit generic, very similar to others, so the shop itself didnt feel that designed to me?

The gift shop though was in some ways harder to do, because they had so many different products to sell, and it hard to do this and still make it look coherent. So I thought the pair designing this, did do a better job at designing a space to sell! I wish they had had more time with the tree, as the concept was good, a tree in an ex bookshop, and didnt it also refer to the name of the shop? But I agree the excecution wasnt great, and looked a bit....odd.

Will noone talk about the logo being off centre on the counter in the gift shop😭
When she put it up with Alan I thought maybe they will put some words or something to the left of it because it was so off centre and clashing with the shape of the curves😬 the judges said it looked great...

i think it was an unfair challange just like the homeless house one because the tasks were too different for the teams. The guitar store owner having such a clear vision clearly contrasted with the purpose of the show so why not go wiht a different shop. Clearly he just wanted to have his shop done up for free instead of grabbing a bucket of paint and some pieces of wood for a stage himself...

Very glad Duran's gone she should've been out ages ago and she was so cocky!
Sophie should also be out she never actually does well, has terrible time management, and has a meltdown about every project while achieving much less than everyone else.
i thought Kate had real potential, I think she would've done better than her

Omg the off centre logo 😂
First thing anyone would notice. And yet more cheap looking curvy plywood. Why tf do they keep doing that?

I don't think I've seen one room this entire series I've thought 'wow'. In a good way.

The grey and orange combo is so dreary. The shop name signage just disappears on the back wall. Why plonk a vase of dried flowers and yet more cards on the counter? What’s in the random small hanging thing to the right of the cards on the wall. So many weird design flaws yet this is the winning space in the quarter final.

Dried flowers because the Scottish woman is obsessed with the dust collectors! To be fair, adding something small on/near the counter is a typical sales tactic - they hope someone might add something at the last minute they’ve spotted whilst waiting to pay.

I decided to rewatch Series 3. Michelle is buzzing, Banjo and Amy ❤ and even the ridiculous "creative genius" Paul, so much better!

I don't like the corporate box weeks in any of the past series... Not folding out much hope for this week. Hopefully I'm pleasantly surprised!

It’s a good job there isn’t a drinking game for this show, as we’ve already had papier mache, interesting paint choices, fingers crossed for a dodgy homage to the pier and a stylised seagull (as someone who used to go to the Goldstone Ground with my dad, they better not do my seagulls dirty). Would’ve loved to see them taking on Withdean :ROFLMAO:

Oh dear none of them are very good this series 😬 Best of a very bad bunch.
My OH pointed out Emmely sounded exactly like Neil from the Young Ones and I can't unsee it now.

To be fair, they were all a bit tit.

Can't believe Lia thought the sticky backed plastic was a good idea. The family room was lovely and she should have done similar for the corporate room.

Sophie's table legs were awful and having a dado rail with the table top higher wasn't great.

Emmely's family room did seem like a bedroom, the corporate room was reasonable.

None of them really seem good enough to be in the final though.
