Emmerlys' players room was ikea blue and yellow, it was nasty. I thought the room that had the high table at the window was a poor idea as it blocked the view for those elsewhere in the room?

I loved the challenge, and I loved Craig's room. I also really liked Rita's and Victoria's.

The colour of Briony's was horrible and I didn't like any of the stuff she'd put in there, but I did like the wallpaper. John's was a bit unfinished and everything was too big, and the scouse lad's wasn't fit for purpose, really.

I've enjoyed that we've seen different challenges this year - no children's thing (was it replaced with the retirement homes?), the little office space was really different, now this transition room.

Michelle is always inconsistent, that's why I said last week that I find her wishy-washy. Two competitors might do the same thing one week, and she'll love one and hate the other.

Papier mache range coming to Next soon
The problem with the paper mache stuff she makes is that you can’t clean it? At least I don’t think so. Like the first episode where she covered the counter tops, surely anytime liquid gets in contact with that it will disintegrate?

In my opinion, the reason he went that week rather than Francesca was his appalling attitude. Neither of them really had a great one that week and Francesca had been poorer in previous challenges and perhaps would have been more likely to go but for Domnall's dreadful attitude.

i don't think he was that bad in the actual episode, but he's really shown himself up on ig afterwards. it was funny until it wasn't, i understand that seeing it play back on telly will have brought feelings back to the surface but he needs to just get over himself and take some solace in the public opinion being in his favour.
I thought the same, found it quite funny in the episode when he went to pull his phone out, kinda thought good for him sticking up with himself with evidence, but he’s showing himself to be a bit of a prat and the hour long chat on the sofa had much worse than pulling texts up.

Can't decide what was worse, the tree or the paint brush chandelier.

The gift shop lady only requirement was "make everything feel coherent" whilst the guitar asked for a lot and they managed to do it all.

I'm always confused by how they can paint walls and hanging shelves up on the same wall so quickly.

I wonder if they are going to have the human cigarette aka Matthew Williamson as a judge this series?

Or even Abigail Aherne who always reminds me of a bad Edina Monsoon at a fancy dress party?

Using AI is an absolute cop out, what made it even worse was that Ajeet used it to create that heron - anyone with a shred of artistic ability should be able to draw that themselves, it's just so lazy!

I really thought papier mache lady was going when this week's episode started - the gingery one that loves all things animal print as her "signature style" knew that that wouldn't be appropriate to the space this week and didn't use it. So surely Emmerly needs to give the papier mache a rest rather than shoehorning it in - if she uses it next week surely she's a gonner. It's not like the winner's range at Next is going to be papier mache lampshades and bed spreads for the masses....
Make your own Emmerly inspired artwork kit including PVA glue, bottle of old sea water, yesterday's newspaper and felt tip pens - RRP £45

I was screaming DUSTCATCHERS! at the programme throughout! No hotel I’ve ever stayed in, and I am lucky enough to have stayed in some very nice hotels), have had that kind of clutter.

And in my youth, I worked in hotels during the holiday from uni, thos rooms were not appropriate.

Just a reminder that the new series starts at 8pm tomorrow. I’ve just series linked it as I rarely get to watch live TV, but look forward to chatting about it on here.

I think it needs a make over to continue as a show. My thoughts are:
1. New presenter, Michelle is just void of personality and so inconsistent with what she’s saying.
2. Stop bringing on the influencer interior designer wannabes and bring in others with talent.
3. bring it back where they consulted with the owner more before and after the make over
4. Increase the budget and time needed for what they’re doing. This is having a clear impact on the standards of the results and I’m sure their budget for the show would have to cover the damage caused.

What I want is it going back to the early days of this show. It was much better then.
I agree with all of these! Especially number one because (maybe it was editing) she was having a go at Duran using glass but Jonny also used it too and so did others I believe.

I might be dreaming this but I swear they used to have three days to complete something?

I thought it was very picky of Michelle to say about the guitar shop seating area - 'well you could've put some guitar magazines or something on the table'. I presume the team thought the owner was actually capable of that. He didn't need their 'vision' to be able to grasp the concept of putting a magazine on a table.

I'll be watching it, there's something very joyful about Banjo - I like him on Scotland's Home of the Year. I take it this new show means he's finished his previous show designing for anyone that wanted it on a Scottish island then?
Banjos voice is so relaxing, he's just lovely. And Ro is a great guy too. I'll definitely be watching 🙂

I'm torn about Emmely.
She didn't deserve to go out in the week she did - but she was on borrowed time and should've gone out in week one tbh (the kitchen blocking the view of the sea in the beach hut ffs, and papier mache spoons all over the place 😫).
I suppose she'd been on a 'journey' and was improving. But she can't be too bitter about it.
