Funny how quickly those morals go out the window when money’s involved!Dubai has run out of oil so they need other ways to boost the economy and Tourism is a huge part of the plan. They are much more relaxed about certain things now.
agreed I’ve been several times for work & holiday and had totally different experiences and trips from what the z listers seem to flaunt. Can see why a lot of people now wouldn’t go because of perception. I’ve Stayed in really nice hotels full of ‘normal people’ and been to places with friends who have grown up there which are great and a different vibe. Friends who are always aware when out as they know what the authorities can be like, wouldn’t be surprised if somebody is made an example of soon. Heard Dubai is also going to be changing to test on arrival only because they do have increasing cases again. It does have some culture to be fair, the souks and the desert trips are amazing. But yes, it is like an Arabian Disneyland. But the hotels are amazing and we always enjoy the experience when we go. But sad to see it over run with plastic chavs. My friend who lives there can no longer go out as she’s so scared of getting the virus because of these idiots. She’s said she’s never seen so many common chavs in Dubai before.
This is why I'm in a quandry about Saudi opening up to tourists. From a history and culture point of view it's a place I'd love to visit, but from a women's rights point of view I don't want their government to benefit from a penny of my holiday spending. What a backwards place for women’s rights too. Last place I’d want to visit. So many other places to visit. My friend has moved out there too and she says can’t wait for people to visit. None of us do. Would rather spend our cash in a better place!
Load not loaf. GAH.
Tell me about it...and they all do the same heavy make up looks on everyone. I'd much rather have my make up done by a talented and trained artist. The make up ones are the worst.
They charge way too much & have become very arrogant.
I’m pretty sure they don’t pay taxes. How to prove?Tell me about it...and they all do the same heavy make up looks on everyone. I'd much rather have my make up done by a talented and trained artist.
They rent an air bnb as a group. A friend of mine who is in the “influencer industry” has recently spent a month there in a group of 6 and it cost them just over £500 each for the full month for their accommodation. They basically take pics on their balconies, and then go out to different hotels/bars/restaurants for the rest of their “content”They are all at the five palm. The more exclusive places would be too expensive for the chavs.
I’ve been and enjoyed it, but it’s not somewhere I’d go back to. It’s all so fake. Really a bizarre pleaseDubai is somewhere that has just never ever appealed to me at all. It just screams of vulgarity. Vacuous people with more money than sense posing and prancing around in an entirely man made place that been purposely built to fuel consumerism in its worst form. I cannot see the appeal at all, there’s millions of other places in the world I’d rather go.
A very selfish and arrogant answer from her. In the same way that she tells people to scroll past, we can choose to discuss her here.Basically saying I couldn’t give a toss about what you think and I’ll carry on showing off because I can. She’s a liar she travelled after lockdown she even posted it on her stories if you really wanna break rules by all means do it but then STOP POSTING ABOUT IT
