I did think all that talk of taking term time holidays followed by mention of home schooling meant the EWO was breathing down her neck again about their attendance.
We had text books which we were expected to cover to protect them (posh kids had sticky back plastic the rest of us wallpaper offcuts or wrapping paper) and if they were lost you paid for a new one. It was a win if you got one a posh kid had last year so it was already plastic coated. Then we destroyed our posture by heaving a million books around because there were no lockers in our school.
Point being textbooks were a pain in the arse and digital ones much better for many reasons. Hold your kids accountable for their belongings.

Plus textbooks are often out of date by the time they’re published. Online sites can be updated quickly with new information, discoveries etc.

I don't believe she knows anyone who thinks differently to her. Not because she has inviolable principles or certain boundaries but cos she's just so aggy. Our school is pretty tit for SEN support and I didn’t even have to ask for an IEP, they just did one and then we talked through it?! If the school aren’t even agreeing to that I can’t understand what extra support is needed
