The Sun documentary is very interesting especially when stated that they already knew HE was up to dubious shit already. If they knew then surely it was also known in a wider circle. Again, nobody spoke up. The parents of the boy were vilified for bringing one of the UK’s prominent stars into disrepute. So are we to assume that if they hadn’t persevered HE would still be on our tv’s, carrying on grooming young boys and viewing child abuse videos?
It was said that he felt for his family and that he thought they’d be better off if he was dead. Was any of this going through his mind when he was doing all of this. Did he think of the impact on his family then? If he feels that he was treated badly by his father just imagine how he’s made his five children feel.
I can’t help but wonder if Jimmy Savile was still alive when his crimes were exposed, would his ‘good character’ also have been an excuse to give him a similar rap on the knuckles. If he had pleaded guilty like HE then all his heinous crimes wouldn’t have been so public?
I feel utterly depressed about all of this. Those poor children who I feel haven’t been considered. It was all about poor Huw. I really liked him, trusted him and wouldn’t have guessed in a million years all this of him. Which makes me shudder to think how many others like him are we trusting and do I know. It’s awful! It’s a very sad state of the country that children get abused and groomed and the paedophiles are getting away with it.
