Yeah you are right xx

Right. Baby is in bed. Husband has cooked dinner but I am going for my walk while I can. Resisting all temptation to drink wine and eat sweets x
Eating shouldn’t really be a reward BUT... I’ve definitely been feeling less guilty for eating crap and drinking lots of booze if I keep on top of my exercising x

for those that go for a walk every day... any tips for when it’s really windy, chucking it down with rain, and it’s freezing cold? My goal for the week is to go for a walk every day but the weather today is so horrible. I’m tempEd to just go and do it but I know I’ll be a drowned rat and it won’t make me go as far as I normally could
Just get a waterproof jacket and get out there! It’s only a bit of rain, you’ll warm up as you walk and you can jump in the shower when you get back home.

I bought a weight watchers pedometer from eBay
Really good as it asks for height weight stride and calculates how many steps you need to get moving for the day.
I love it and am always happy when it beeps that I’ve done another target.

I have done 6 nights fasting. Last night was going to be a cheat night but I ate too much dinner and felt full so decided to fast anyway and feel great for having done so. I have no scales so not weighing myself but I can see some difference. I'm not bloated and feel really well. I might not fast tonight so. I can have some wine during a zoom meet up with friends or I might just do a shorter fast.

The best thing was I only really ate half my dinner. I feel full quicker now.

This thread spurred me on, I lost about a stone prior to lockdown. I’m really pleased with my self that I’ve fluctuated by a few lbs since while eating whatever we had but we don’t have much crap in the house.
I’ve started SW again this week and trying to be more active and I feel amazing! I find less processed food does my gut the world of good and when I calorie count I tend to grab easy processed food. Hoping for a good loss!

I'm in too. Lost weight last year and piled it back on over the last few months. Not yet up to my heaviest yet but I will be if I carry on. So annoyed with myself!

Do any of you use tracking apps? I HAVE to use MyFitnessPal otherwise I just know I’m underestimating what I’m eating!

I don’t know about you guys but buying a food scale was the best thing I did when it comes to tracking food intake.

I’m thinking of doing 30 day shred but I am a complete novice, have no clue about exercise what so ever and really feel the pain and muscle aches after trying any so struggle to go back. Any advice.
Don't know if anyone else has answered you yet as haven't read all replies. I LOVE the 30 day shred and I've done it a few times! I don't really need to lose weight as I'm 5'7" and 9st12 but used to be slimmer so sometimes feel a bit chubby and the 30 day shred is insane for even just toning up honestly.

I'm doing it again now and I'm on day 12. Honestly give it a go, by day 5 you'll be feeling so good about it!!

Agree with everyone else with walking, it makes a massive difference! I always gain weight in the school holidays as I’m not doing the school run 😅 I do YouTube workouts everyday too, have a look at Sydney Cummings on there. She uploads a new one everyday 10am (uk time) and it varies in length and styles. She’s fantastic 😊

I’ve put 10lb on through lockdown.

I’d say I was sorry but I’m not. The snacks have gotten me through a shit year 🤣 I’ll lose it again when I’m in the right headspace and when things go back to normal.

Just to say I am following as I weighed today was it was not good, at least half a stone on and i had over a stone to loose anyway. Going to try running on the eve when my husband is home to take over kids and try a low carb diet which worked for me before but all tips welcome!

I'm also struggling, I have gained nearly a stone. However I am still working but walking to work everyday which is 20 minutes each way. I honestly don't think my eating has been all that bad but clearly it has. I've also been drinking a lot more than usual and drinking wine. I've struggling with an ED in the past which has led me to have an up and down relationship with food where have been on on both ends of the scale. Binge etc. I'm now at my heaviest I have been in years and my mood is very low. I've decided to come of my pill and to stop taking my antidepressants to see if that helps as so much of my mood is focused on my weight but sometimes I cant find motivation because of my mood, its a bad cycle. There's not a day or hour goes by that I don't obsess, I've gone 6 months without dieting and maintained a good weight so scared to fall back into a diet trap. But I feel I need to track to lose. Sorry for the rant but I'm sick of my self! My husband said I should go to drs and talk about coming of my anti depressants - but I've just stopped myself? I'm 5"7 and 13.8 this morning usually around 12.7 and was 10 st when I developed my ED.
I agree with your husband, you should not just come off them. You need to medically weened off them - please do speak to your doctor.

I am glad I have maintained my current lockdown weight (all be it 3 stone heavier than when I met my husband). I turn 30 on friday so I am keen to enjoy it but mindfully and then as of Monday I need to up my exercsice and really keep and eye on things. I don't think I will be back at work full time until september at least and I would like to spend this time working on myself. I feel I have wasted the last 11 weeks but at lease I haven't gained!

I have a history of undiagnosed ED's and want to stay away from diets. I just want to eat better and move more. I cannot wait for my gym to open but for now I need to walk everyday, and keep and eye on calories.

Granted, I stopped smoking a couple of years ago so the weight did creep on but this year I’ve been extremely sedentary (mixture of fear of going outside as I’m still at risk and being a lazy arse). I now have a delightful 28lbs to lose. As a former ED sufferer I feel absolutely disgusted with myself and I’ll be honest, I’m wobbling as to how I intend to lose the weight. I hate looking at myself in the mirror right now 😢
I feel you. Fellow former ED sufferer disgusted with myself, have lost 10lb since October just focusing on exercise and trying to just eat 3 meals a day no snacks, another 15lbs or so til I’m happy but worried I’ll slip back into my old obsessive ways and almost think I’m better off how I am even though I feel gross 🤷‍♀️

It’s not going well for me. Went into town today and my local maccies is open now! Haven’t had one in ages as we don’t have a drive thru near us. Couldn’t resist. Then had dolly mixtures and cheese and onion rolls tonight. Fuck this fat ass 😂

I’ve always been guilty of exercising but not having a great diet so even tho i feel good from exercising I don’t see any difference - one thing I’ve had to remind myself is that it’s meant to be 20% exercise and 80% diet to lose weight!

Do you track calories? Might be worth downloading an app to track your food and try and create a calorie deficit (burning off more than you consume) that’s what I’m trying to do now !
@pinkem
You may well be not eating enough calories either which is just as important to do as not overeating too many. If counting your calories and working out are definitely not working you should look into getting your macros assessed and focusing on that also

I've done the same. Wine, biscuits, homemade bread etc has taken its toll! I did slimming world 2 years ago, lost 2 stone, left but still kept the weight off for a year, but I'm back to pre sw weight now :( started out trying low carb but I'm vegetarian. That, coupled with the limited shopping made it too restrictive. I've been doing 5:2 for a couple of weeks and am finding that much easier as well as my fitness pal. I may do the hour walk a day too.

I may be late to the game but listening to an audiobook really is helping me walk longer! And my library has an app with loads you can borrow so it costs nothing. Looking forward to getting back out today again!
I've nearly got through the Wolf Hall trilogy audiobooks sitting in the bath. Maybe if I'd done it walking instead, I wouldn't be living in my tracksuit bottoms!

Hi guys, hope you don’t mind me joining in mid May 😂 I need a kick up the bum and really think joining in this thread will help my motivation!
I’m about to turn 30 and wow my weight is stubborn now. I remember being 22 and eating and drinking whatever I liked and had the body of Victoria secret model (ok maybe not quite that 😂) but I hit 26 and it’s slowly crept on and I need to sort it out! I weigh about 11 stone and I’m 5’5, would ideally like to weigh 9ish.
to be honest it’s not really the scales that bother me, it’s my clothes. Nothing fits, I feel bloated and miserable.

I’ve just started intermittent fasting (eating 12-8) and cutting out snacks and wine (😭)

I’m a bit of a nightmare and struggle to stick to any diet, I get bored of distracted but I really want this to work!

sorry for the rambling!!
