Plus I have no idea why she wants to do research. I recall her saying she hated the labs.
Just realised this could be the reason she got rejected from TUM. She chose not to do a research project in her final year (in a biology degree!). Instead wrote a dissertation (if you can call it that, from the looks of things she essentially wrote an extended literature review which won't include any actual research), I'm not sure she's cut out for a PhD, but lets see how the masters goes first!

No wonder she’s being rejected! She is actually deluded

I just don’t think she ever really properly knew what she wanted to do. When she applied to university she would’ve been in the depths of her eating disorder, and then buried her head in the sand by focusing on her work and being productive rather than actually going to talk to someone to work through her thoughts.

If she can barely sit with her thoughts in the first place then I don’t see how she can make any proper decisions for herself. I think she’s always hidden behind her brain and the things she knows she’s good at, and now that she actually needs to make important life decisions, she just doesn’t know where to turn.

It’s a shame really because Holly comes across as a nice person, she just lacks so much knowledge outside of academia.

Pahaha just finished the recent video and it’s just hilarious that Holly’s use of the phrase ‘productivity is relative’ just isn’t used anymore😂 it’s so damn obvious she reads these threads.... hey Holly! 👋🏼👋🏼

Oh and another thing related to another video. Holly was discussing her old eating habits etc and saying she’s ‘recovered’ (as she always does), but always says that going vegan is what made her ‘get better’.

This just proves she isn’t recovered. Eating disorders are a mental disorder, and it’s actually got nothing to do with food in the first place. It’s used as a coping mechanism for something else that’s happened or going on in your life. I don’t think Holly knows to this day what actually is the root cause of her eating disorder, and that’s worrying. When you’re in a facility for treatment, that’s one of the first things they try and get you to talk about/come to terms with.

Holly, you might be better than before, but you still need to talk to someone. Even if you don’t address it on your channel, please take time to just sit with your thoughts and really consider and be honest with yourself if you’re okay. Because from what I’ve seen, your channel is a mask, and you use your camera as a coping mechanism to make you feel less alone. Talk to real people and try and get some help.

I don't watch a lot of her videos but I find it odd when she's eating fruit bowls or smoothies as a full meal in her uni vlogs. She also seems to have a really strong work ethic which justifies her ranking in her class but recently I saw an old video of her titled welcome to exam season study with me which she freaks out about only having 8 weeks to revise before her exams. I never imagined someone needs that much time to prepare for their exams?? Also does cambridge finishes off the lectures 2 months before finals so the students could have 2 months for their study week? I've only heard top students spending 2 weeks to revise which is ideal for them but she is being panicked despite having 8 weeks of time to revise. From that onwards I find her to be a bit weird and she also turned off the comments for that video.

Cambridge continue with their lectures and content until a week before exams start usually.

It’s nice to see holly doesn’t eat massive bowls of fruit as meals anymore (she used to do rawtill4 which just wasn’t sustainable). She has changed quite a bit since her Cambridge vlogs though, but her obsession over work and productivity and fear of failure hasn’t changed in the slightest!

idk, I feel like every university is different! I went to uni in the UK and we'd have between 4-8 weeks of revision period depending on when your exams were, with no lectures in that time. However the exams were 90% of our grade and based on all content learnt that year as we didn't have Christmas exams! So honestly I don't see it being that weird as preparing for any exam can be stressful

As mentioned she doesn't seem to eat just fruit for most meals anymore (apart from a smoothie for breakfast!). Just thinking, she doesn't seem to be sharing her dinners as much anymore? I know her meal times are out of whack at the minute, is she using this as an excuse not to eat as much in the evenings? Becuase she usually shares the same old bland food over and over again for her other meals!

Why is she making such a massive fuss of her hair cut? It looks perfectly fine. Absolutely no need for such tortured self-analysis about cutting your own damn hair!

It takes a special sort of person to see cutting their own hair as an opportunity to write a small essay about taking risks

Anyone else think in her vlog what she was saying about running sounded extremely worrying? The fact she was so frustrated and upset about not running and then going onto say ‘life is just about running’ and being so affected by still not being able to run just throws up massive red flags.

Any person who is injured takes PROPER rest. She’s just so obsessed with needing to move every single day that it really seems like more of an obsession than something she actually does to just ‘stay healthy’. Her exercise seems to come from a place of needing to feel in control and healthy PHYSICALLY. She’s not once focused on her mental health on its own. She never considers her own thoughts and the fact she was so affected by her ankle in that vlog just shows how obsessed she is with exercise.

Typical Orthorexia presentation, the fixation on exercise and the inability to cope with the emotions involved if the exercise cannot take place or has changed. I'd be hugely concerned about Holly.

I think with Holly it’s almost a mixture of both Orthorexia and Anorexia. It’s like she’s stuck in this limbo between wanting to look a certain way and wanting to eat/feel a certain way. She’s got most of the key symptoms for Orthorexia and clearly shows signs of an extremely restrictive, ‘healthy’ diet, which she never deviates from. But on the other hand, she also seems fixated on the quantities too, as well as how she looks and the effects the food has alongside her exercise. It’s all just extremely worrying and the fact she puts it on the Internet as ‘advice’ is wrong on so many levels. She’s a danger to herself and others.

When she was applying for post-grad medicine, I remember her saying her goals were not actually to become an NHS doctor but to become some sort of alternative doctor where she can use veganism/whole foods to cure people . I have a feeling this is what she will want to do if she becomes a registered nutritonist. No way will she be working for the NHS. She will probably try to be self employed like she is with her tutoring. Giving meal plans and nutritional advice over Skype/Zoom and charging extortionate prices.
I get that following a whole foods diet can have medicinal benefits, especially for those with diseases that are caused by poor diet. But this information is common knowledge that can be found for free with a quick Google search. She will be robbing these vulnerable people of their money.

She also said she didn’t want to consult in one of her videos though so I honestly don’t know what else she’d want to do?

if she’s not consulting then she’ll probably just use the masters to justify her own eating patterns rather than seek out help.

I just watched her video and the shot of food on her plate was disturbing to say the least - so few carbs and protein - most of it looked like lettuce which isn't going to keep her full or provide the nutrients that she needs!
Compared to the whole spread! There's so much rice and those little pastry things for everybody but she has a small spoonful of rice and two pastries. Not to mention there's absolutely no dressing in sight on her salad ☹

Also that rice looked boring af. Just beans and seeds, no dressing or flavour anywhere in sight. Is that just typical British food or is the family weird?

Also because I just can't with this girl but she thinks her foot is going to get better if she keeps doing spins and other workouts? The point of rest is so your body has the energy to heal itself, not just to do some other intensive exercise.

I commented this on her video. It'll be interesting to see if she reacts to it or deletes it.

I have never seen a boring salad like that in the UK and I'm inclined to say the family is just weird! They all eat (and enjoy?) plain boiled parsnips and leeks for god's sake! I have never seen those vegetables prepared that way before watching her videos 🤮
