I just remembered that when I first watched her she had just injured her hamstring during dance and even then she would show herself doing strengthening exercises for
her hamstring but on top of that she still went
to the gym. She’s always been like this it seems, so it’s a wonder she hasn’t caused any lasting damages to her body

Am I going mad or is that a Percy pig ??
That's definitely one of the veggie Percy Pigs! They have green ears. Bit weird to put one on top of a salad, but honestly this girl's diet is so weird I can't really question it any more.

I have never seen a boring salad like that in the UK and I'm inclined to say the family is just weird! They all eat (and enjoy?) plain boiled parsnips and leeks for god's sake! I have never seen those vegetables prepared that way before watching her videos 🤮
The dad didn’t seem too pleased about being given all that vegan food though. When Holly addresses her dad in the video saying ‘vegan for the day’ or something he just looks so ‘meh’ about it. I just agree though, the family is strange. Whenever I make salads it’s piled high with seeds, nuts, fats (and meats because I’m not vegan) with homemade dressings etc. Hollys plate was so so sad.... she has a problem

Oh, and another thing which came to mind. Does anyone else think Holly always seems to be working towards some sort of ‘set end goal’ to life?

Majority of her video titles contain something along the lines of ‘FINALLY GETTING MY LIFE ON TRACK’ or ‘FINALLY FIGURING OUT MY LIFE PLANS’. It’s like she thinks there’s one answer to her entire life, or like her life is like some sort of biology question that has a right or wrong answer. It’s just painful to see her put herself in such a tight box, describing her life as being defined by one decision about a masters, or by a food/diet choice. She behaves like a 12 year old whose life is just school, extra curriculars, and home. It’s silly.

another video on productivity? It’s like all Holly is trying to do is justify the way she lives. It’s like she’s trying to deflect anything that she’s read on threads like this one..... justifying things doesn’t work when what you’re doing isn’t the right or healthy thing!!

I honestly think she's only banging on about productivity because she has no unique video ideas, and her whole brand is built around it. However, I wouldn't even call her day "productive"? It just looked like a pretty regular day

Side note, those cookies she made looked grim

That’s what I thought when looking at her day too. Seems like a pretty average ‘keeping yourself busy’ type day..... a day which anyone who is working from home during the pandemic would consider pretty average.

I was reading the Unjaded Jade Thread and while Holly doesn’t scream ‘I’m better than you’ as much as Jade does, her content which forces productivity is increasingly (in my opinion) coming across as ‘oh look at me, I’m busy in lockdown, give me validation!!!’ Type vibes, and I’m not for it.

She doesn't, and it's so obvious that she doesn't know where to take her channel.

I honestly really like Holly, I think she's very nice and hardworking, good-natured as well. So please don't think this is a major major criticism- but I honestly think she needs to take a break and reconsider the content she wants to put out there. It's getting a little repetitive and the only reason I'm watching is re. Masters updates.

She needs to take a break not only for her content but also so she can learn how to properly rest and to really work through some of her issues about not being able to sit with her own thoughts!

I've been checking other graduates from Holly's year and dear God their CVs are incredible.
Many of them have serious research experience and have been very active in Cambridge student clubs and still managed to graduate with a first.
Apparently natsci students could do summer research internships inside Cambridge. It's insane how many opportunities Holly threw in the bin .

On p13 they have a highlight of student vloggers and Holly is nowhere to be seen 😶 Don't know why but I can imagine her mum getting arsey about that at the graduation ceremony

But they included ibzmo who apparently had beef with his college and department.....
Yeah all he's done since he's left is talk about how he didn't really like his college experience, hasn't he? Seems a weird choice.

On second thought , all these vloggers come from diverse backgrounds so maybe that's the case

Yeah I was gonna say this, they've been criticised for a while for their inclusivity so they want to look good. Even though I have friends who have been to Cambridge and have told me how bad it can be for BAME people wrt the way they're treated when they're there.

Love Holly in her recent video about running trying to make 3 dates sound like enough sustenance for a long run by describing them as ‘big, large and juicy’. Oh good god. Also the fact she tries to play off being hospitalised almost as a joke by saying she ‘ran into some trouble’ and just seems to disregard the fact she’s injured now as an annoyance rather than a bit of a red flag....

Another thing I also picked up on was the fact she said she got more into running during year 11/sixth form, which was when her eating disorder was at its worst and she was also doing lots of dance. To me, it seems like the whole running thing is another thing for Holly to control and be harsh on herself about. It became a regular thing for her to do during her eating disorder. Plus, it doesn’t seem like she has a healthy relationship with running to me, especially when she ends up beating herself up so much if she doesn’t ‘succeed’.

From what I've seen, I personally don't think Holly takes running that seriously. She only seems to run at one pace; she doesn't add any interval or tempo sessions into her training. Her ideas about pacing and what's achievable for her are a bit warped. I just can't help but think she runs for the sake of burning calories and uses it to beat herself up etc. I just don't get the impression she enjoys it.
