Do you think this would work? Planning 2 holidays with 2 different people. If my plane landed at 1am and the next holiday left the same day with the flight at 8am? Or should I leave time in-between in case I'm delayed 😆
We had a similar situation last year, we arrived back from holiday and husband was off on lads trip a few hours later so we left the car at the airport with his case for his lads trip packed ready and left in the boot. Our flight landed, we went to the car, he swapped cases and headed back into the airport while I brought the car home. Worked perfectly and as long as you don’t have a huge delay or traffic issues getting back to the airport if you go home in between you should be fine.

Has anyone been to Copenhagen for the Xmas markets? I keep reading people say how dark and bleak it is in winter but I really want to go to tivoli gardens (and the sunrise/sunset times are not too different to UK so we are used to dark days anyway)
I've not been for the Xmas markets, although I've heard Tivoli is fab. We went for a long weekend end of January beginning of February and it was fabulous. Days were cold but beautiful blue sky's and tbh I didn't really notice the sunsets being any different than the Uk/ireland. It's a fabulous city with so much to do. Even if you aren't blessed weather wise like we were, ou won't be disappointed

I’ve been, loved it! Just take a good coat with you in case it’s rainy, I was unprepared and felt really chilly at times.

It’s lovely at Christmas, all the hygge vibes and obviously the Danish pastries.. oh the pastries 🥰 I also loved looking round the royal palaces and castles. Tivoli with all the lights was wonderful, gets you in such a Christmassy mood!

Thank you probably be my second choice of dates as I'm hoping to split the two up a bit to break them up

What issue are you having? I havent booked anything but was able to resent my password and login and the search worked through that!
@Mamacita I haven't had an issue to date but am just concerned as I will have to book it whilst on hols in Italy, and I am not sure the website will behave with or without vpn. Am going to try a dummy run the day before to see what happens with it.

@Tinkerbell cat unfortunately I won't be able to call BA as I will be on hols in Italy at the time I need to book the seats -355 days out. Just unfortunate timing this year :( as we are tied to trying to get specific dates next year to holiday in September.

Well done on getting your seats to LA. In previous years I've managed to get to Mauritius, Sydney and Singapore, so really hoping I can bag the KL seats as we have plans for Asia next year!

I'm also looking for a holiday for me and a friend. My friend has a lot of health problems and is on strong medication like morphine and codeine. I know a lot of places require a certificate you have to apply for to take these medications in. I always plan the holiday do the research etc. My friend he just turns up at the airport. I really don't mind doing it and enjoy it. But I'll send him options and he won't look into what he needs to get for his medication before saying yes. So I've been researching that to which I don't think I should have to, as I don't know every medication he is on, I just search the strong ones I know of.
When we went away last time I was also the one who applied for this certificate for him and he left it till the last minute to get me to do if we left it one more day we wouldn't have gotten it. I really don't want to have to do this again as it's stressful for me as I'm not sure I'm doing it correctly as I'm not the one with the medications/health issues they are asking about. So I'm trying to find a country where a certificate won't be needed but by the looks of it all the schengen countries you'd need to apply for a permit. We won't want to go far. I was looking at Montenegro as from what I can see you just need a doctor's letter but don't have to apply for anything else which is fine. Or has anyone applied for the schengen certificate/other countries is it a long process?

Sometimes the companion vouchers really are a pain the a, if it wasn’t for my husband I’d not even bother as he has the patience of a saint 😂 As I type this he’s currently on the phone with BA again 😂

we have got to male and Singapore using the vouchers before but it really did seem to much more straight forward the last couple of times. I really hope you get sorted and enjoy your trip when the time comes

Can you not just tell him he needs to make the applications or would he still flake on it?

Oh man - I can't be dealing with calling BA and I have Silver (if they ever pick up the phone)!

TBH I'm thinking of ditching my BAPP Amex card after this round. I'm going to be changing career (ironically to become a travel agent) and I will be on a shift pattern, which is going to make it really hard to get any long-haul redemptions sorted out that far in advance. So I think this will be the last go around and then I'll just book using other means (my new perks from my new job).

exactly what I have done, it’s only my husband that has kept his ba amex and I’ve not bothered as there Is no real benefit for us anymore. he is thinking of giving his up next year once we get the next couple of trips out of the way. It was great as we do about 3 long hauls a year so the distance racked up the avois which managed to get ourselves to gold at one point but back down to silver now. avios has been brilliant in the past and has saved us a fortune. But with how it’s changed and the money you would need to be spending it wouldn’t really be massively missed in all honesty.

What would you do? I want to do this tour on specific dates. I have a 10% off code but I know for black Friday/new year sales there is usually much better discounts. Do I book now or wait? You can see when they are nearly fully booked and none are apart from January even most this year aren't

Has anyone been to fuerteventura in July. Found a good hotel and then released no air con only fans. Most of the reviews say they are good enough with the breeze but wondering if anyone has any experience

I have and wouldn’t have coped without air on. But I guess it depends what you like. I like a cold bedroom

I do that's why I was initially put off but to save money maybe I'll cope 🤣 I struggled to find any other suitable accommodation as the person I'm going with is fussy

I'm in a few holiday groups on Facebook also see people asking if anyone can do it cheaper and travel agents reply. Has anyone ever used these travel agents in assuming the are independent ones?

Me again 🤣 has anyone been to Malia? Looking for my second holiday for next year. Since I ruled the one without air con out. I was avoiding looking at Malia but it's the hotel with the best reviews/location. Other options are Gran Canaria or Kos both of which I've been so would like somewhere new.

Thinking of 3 nights in Barcelona, solo, in October. Any thougghrs, recommendations or tips for me?

Open to any city break in Europe, but thinking Barca as i havent been there.
