We were supposed to go to the Pyramids and Petra in 2023, our cruise sailed the week after the war broke out and we weren't allowed to dock. We re-booked for this year but the whole cruise was cancelled.

I think if Sri Lanka is somewhere you really want to go you should go for it. I don’t think 11 hours is too long for 2 weeks. We went to Hong Kong for 4 nights and that was about 10.5/11 hours lolThe flight is probably a bit too long for a two week trip as, you're looking at 11 hours. It's on my list of places to visit, we had a trip there cancelled in 2020
I probably wouldn't want to do to even do a 3 hour flight for 4nights

It's more of a would be nice to visit rather than really keen to visit. More that I'd be happy if a cruise called there. I'd never convince MrLily to spend 11 hours flying for a 2 week winter sun break. Although, I did have a look but it's double the price of Senegal, as this is just supposed to be a more economical beach/mini break, so, definitely isn't an option.
We always think there has to be something more enticing to do a long haul flight, we have a 10 hour flight to Miami in April but it'll include sailing the Panama Canal and Alaska so, he's happy with that....happy might be a bit of an over statement but willing
