Apparently Alec has to 're-centre' himself and take time away from public life. God he's such a narcissistic pr1ck. It's always about him and his pain. So sick of the cnut. I wish he would just duck off.

Oooooohhh I've just seen a tiny clip from a vid Alec shared a few days before the incident, (that reddit sub) he neither looks nor sounds good, almost incoherent in fact with a very puffy face. I'm unsure of context and as stated it was seconds long but crikey... given everything he has endured this past year including the wife's shenanigans it would be fair to assume he's not in a great place. The man I've just seen probably shouldn't have had access to a weapon, I'll be kind and say ....tiredness.

Yup, that's the one thing that you never do, and which all the experts are saying is fudged by camera angles. Regardless of what the gun was loaded with, no one would have been shot or died had he not pointed the gun at someone.
From what I’ve read about the incident so far, lots of people are assuming he was essentially aiming the gun at the camera for a ‘down the barrel’ shot. Is it possible that Hutchins and Souza were stood too close to the camera when it happened? Maybe they were stood next to the camera during a rehearsal walking Baldwin through the shot, told him to do as he would in the actual scene because they didn’t see a risk to it assuming the gun was empty and that’s how 2 people were shot. Maybe there was something obstructing Baldwins view and he didn’t realise they were in firing range. There are so many scenarios which we probably haven’t even thought about that could’ve happened.
I’ve been reading up on what happened to Brandon Lee on The Crow because I was fuzzy on the details- the firearm specialist was sent home early, the crew had made their own makeshift blanks to cut corners but didn’t remove everything causing a casing to get stuck in the barrel which then became a projectile when actor Michael_Massee

His eyes have looked like deflated balloons for a while now, alcohol. 💯

Got cut off- to continue…
… shot the gun. Lee then fell backwards rather than forwards as he was supposed to for the scene alerting everyone to the fact that something was wrong and the director cut filming.
I’m sure that just like the investigation into what happened on The Crow, there will be one for the events on this film and one day we will know exactly what happened here. There’s just lots of assuming going on and it’s very clear that a lot of people do not understand what it’s like to be on a film set. When an actor is told to do something by the director they do it- they trust that everything is safe and that the people working behind the camera know what they are doing. Sometimes they film the rehearsal so there may actually be footage of what happened whether it was rehearsal or a take. I have a feeling the armourer will get most of the responsibility because they are supposed to be the experts, and the woman in charge on the film has been reported as young, inexperienced and kept trying to get her expert father to help her. Sounds like they should have hired her father and not her.

Alec's pr will make sure everyone looks at the armorer and the fella who handed him the gun, anyone but Alec. The Director's statement didn't mention accident or gun, it was like she'd died of old age in a nursing home.
I've seen a few people from the set, including Jensen Ackles, also not mention her cause of death, or Alec, at all.
I think it's more to do with the fact it does just stir up more controversy as it's still an active investigation and I imagine only a very small amount of people may actually know what happened.
There are so many ways this could have played out.

I've watched this video on his Instagram and while it's not great 😬 I think it's been edited badly here.
He starts off saying his eyes are puffy due to altitude... And I'm actually inclined to believe him as the same thing has happened to me on a skiing holiday years ago... Alcohol tends to give the whole area a general puffiness, while his look more swollen which is exactly what happened to me. He also rubs around his eyes and nose a bit and I've a feeling this could be his sinuses annoying him as the swelling does make that whole area feel like there is something sat on your face!

Also, he's mid vaccine rant when someone (off camera) comes out of a door (the hello) and seems to be waiting for him and puts him off track of what he's saying (um, ah, um) a second later AB tells this person he will meet them in the lobby, and you hear the door close again, and AB continues with what he was saying.

Just seen the pictures of AB and the poor husband. Whilst I think it is good AB has reached out and they are talking I don’t like the papped pictures. The meeting should be a very private thing and yet it all sits uncomfortably to me of PR trying to control the situation… they could have met behind closed doors no need to be outside with paps 20 feet away.

I mean if its PR it's in such poor taste given the gravity of the situation. Nobody's reputation should come before the loss of human life, I'd have much more respect for Baldwin if he'd made a statement and disappeared for little while, for me at least that would be proper.

I think it’s part of a massive PR spin, they’re already subtly shading the Armorer and dragging up things that happened on her last film, which poses the question if she was that bad why did they hire her? It’ll be a massive exercise now to try to save Alec’s reputation, if Hilary wasn’t such a joke because of the fake Spanish thing her and the kids would have been wheeled out by now. His team will be wracking their brains on how to gather sympathy for him and blame absolutely everybody else.

I agree. I wonder if the husband knew he was going to be papped? Either way, it's poor taste to be doing this sort of thing so soon. As one of the producers surely he would had a say in who was hired. The shoot seems to have hired people who had a bad reputation for safety and been filmed somewhere where the rules were lax, and then treated the crew so badly they walked off set.

There’s full details in the LA Times today, here’s some highlights:

“Because of COVID-19 safety protocols, Gutierrez Reed set up three prop guns on a cart outside Bonanza Creek Ranch’s church set, the focus of the search warrant. Halls did not know live rounds were in the gun that he handed to Baldwin, and Halls yelled “cold gun,” according to the affidavit.”

“Souza told the detective that cast and crew had been preparing for the scene before lunch but then took a meal break away from the rehearsal area around 12:30 p.m. When they returned, Souza said, he wasn’t sure whether the gun was checked again. He also addressed the possibility of cast or crew members bringing onto the set live ammunition and live rounds, which can include potentially dangerous blanks”

“When they came back from lunch, a creeping shadow prompted the camera to be moved to a different angle, Russell told the detective. As Baldwin was explaining how he was going to draw his gun and where his arm would be positioned, it discharged, Russell said.”

“Souza said he was looking over Hutchins’ shoulder when the gun discharged. Hutchins grabbed her midsection, stumbled backward and was assisted to the ground, Souza told the detective.”

“Russell recalled hearing a loud bang, seeing a bloody Souza and hearing Hutchins say she couldn’t feel her legs, the affidavit said.”

Halls is fucked. Simple as that. Baldwin might be, but thats up to the local prosecutors, really.

Latest press conference said 500 rounds of ammo recovered from the set, and there were 19 people on the set at the time of the shooting, so there will be a lot of interviews to come over the next weeks and months.
The armourer allegedly locked up the guns for lunch in a safe, Then got them out after lunch for the scene involving Alex Baldwin, but apparently other people had access to the safe too 🤷‍♀️ .
seems like a chaotic set with very lax rules snd regulations, you’d think an actor with a Alec Baldwins experience would see all the red flags going on around him and step in.
