My daughter has PMDD and has been extremely violent and aggressive to the point we have had her arrested and had the police out multiple times. The week before she's due on we're all on egg shells, she becomes vile with her words, loses her temper at a drop of a hat, smashes my house up over the smallest of things. My three younger children (my daughter is nearly 18 and I have a significant gap between her and and her siblings of 10, 13 and 17 years) have been on the at risk register due to domestic violence in the home caused by her. They are having play therapy and have social services involved due to the violence they have witnessed. They are terrified of my daughter yet social services have yet to remove her from the home. Physically when my daughter gets her period, she can't get out of bed, is in a lot of pain and this has impacted her education and social life. It's an awful condition which there is not enough awareness off. I believe I also have it, but not to the same degree as my daughter. If Helen has PMDD it would explain her erratic behaviour and possible breakdown of relationships. My daughter has unfortunately burnt bridges with a lot of her family and friends due to her behaviour. I feel deeply sorry for her if she has no one around to help manage and support her with the symptoms of this disorder (if it is the disorder behind her behaviour).
