Maybe his holiday was pre booked as long as someone was at the nativity (am sure a family member was). Is Helen in Pantomine? How on earth did she get that gig unless a non speaking role.

I think if i was famous, in a moment of rage I honestly might. If i saw my ex who was posting that he had a great time while missing his child's nativity i would be absolutely raging. I've witnessed close friends in that position. The dad gets to go off and enjoy himself while the mother is attending dance shows and parents evening etc. Its frustrating. Especially when most of society would judge a mother for doing what he is doing. She could have posted a lot worse to be honest.
Yeah, I'd do the same as well (although I think the reaction would be different because I'm a man).

The point is, did his little boy expect to see him at the nativity? Or had it been explained in advance that dad wouldn’t be there? Speaking as someone who has seen the devastated look on my child’s face when her dad didn’t keep his promise to appear, I absolutely would have done the same as Helen.

Scott was on holiday and didn’t go to a nativity, it was probably booked months ago. As long as someone was there I don’t get the big drama. Not like her that moved scumbag men into her home to live with her children. Scott is a good dad, I think she’s out of order doing that.

I'm with Helen on this one. Going to my kids nativities/school Christmas performances is so important to me. I work night shifts partly for the reason that I can go to whatever school thing is happening because I know I'd never be able to duck out for a couple of hours to attend these things if I worked days.
It sounds like Helen didn’t know or he booked it last minute, after saying he would go to the nativity?

It's rotten to miss your child's activities and especially something special like a nativity so on this I'm with Helen if Scott knew about it in advance and could have made different plans.

In general though Helen seems like really hard work, I can't imagine she is at all easy to co-parent with.

In a comment on one of Scott’s posts, someone has said he’s back in a London anyway. Wonder if it’s just someone blowing smoke. If you’ve got kids, surely you’d avoid booking much solo stuff in December.

Just before she posted that, he updated his story from a rooftop/balcony across from Harrods, showing the London skyline. I didn’t pay too much attention at the time, was just flicking through stories. Saw hers shortly afterwards and went back to look at his and it was gone! 👀

She said previously that he blocked her number. Maybe this was the only way she could get her message to him. he's s a bleep. My ex was a selfish bleep too. I'm completely with Helen here. And to people saying she's probably hard work, maybe he should have rubbered up instead of making 3 kids with her.

My niece said earlier this year she wanted me at her nativity, while making plans around this time of year with everyone I made sure I gave that date as one I wasn't free. This stuff is important to kids. Is it the 'right thing' to do to message him instead social media like that? Maybe not. Do I understand why she did it? Absolutely. I don't judge her for saying something if their child is upset about it.

New to this thread and have followed HF for years but 1 thing that infuriates me is when she's filming herself in a shop, cafe, club why WHY is she always looking into the camera like she does?

See Scott had the kids at Christmas again. But she made a big fuss of him missing a nativity

She's been doing panto. I would guess the only day off she would have is Christmas day itself. Makes more sense for him to have them and be able to spend all the time with them, rather than her sending them to her mums and only seeing them xmas day.

So she didn’t see them on her only day off? That’s fair enough but don’t moan at Scott when it suits your narrative then. I like Helen btw. I think she really let herself down posting that about Scott who is such a good dad.

Im sure, like lots of parents who have split up, when they have the children it is their time with them.
When my friend's son goes to his dad, she doesn’t really speak to him as the dad doesn't like it. Now he's a bit older he has more say in talking to his mum but as a small child, when he was with his dad, she had no communication at all.

Edit to say, my point is, I'm sure even if Helen wanted to drive the few hours to Scott's house, he may not have allowed to see them.

On her only day off? I doubt it. Anyway I’m just saying she shouldn’t have been so quick to call him out when he’s a good dad and has them every Christmas, which is obviously an agreed decision as that’s been years.

But we don’t know why she called him out? Maybe he’d told the kids he was going to the concert and then didnt show? Maybe he never goes to their concerts and they really want him to? We don’t know 🤷‍♀️ But Helen does as she’s the other parent in their situation. Just because he has them at Christmas doesn’t mean he’s perfect.

ETA - re Christmas Day, again, we don’t know the situation? She was working and she posted about having lunch with her parents and family as the kids were with their dad. We know they don’t have an amicable relationship so would he have wanted to share his day? And to be honest, would it not be more upsetting for her to drive hours to get to them for a short time and then have to leave? But again, we don’t know what their arrangement is.

Helen said that she doesn’t speak to or face time the children when they are with their father, because her and Scott don’t have an amicable relationship. And that includes Christmas Day.
She said her elder daughter is getting a phone in preparation for senior school, and this will mean she can contact her directly.
I think it’s really sad that the parents don’t have any communication at all, and it is something their children must be aware of by now :(
