When she said she hadn't worked out for 2 weeks because other people aren't it's like...Helen, you usually work from home anyway. Just because you can't go to London twice a month or shopping or eating out for a couple of hours every day doesn't mean you have to stop working out or doing nothing but sitting in bed with ice cream. I have solidly watched almost every vlog for about 3 years but I haven't watched one in the last few weeks as shes just a mess at the moment. Her clothes look awful and everyone can see her and her new bf arent going to last long esp his comment about never wanting children and her reluctance to accept that. Yeah her relationship with her bf baffles me a bit - they seem like complete opposites. He's so nice compared to the other guys she's dated, but they seem to want different things yet they still moved in together? I found it weird in that Q&A where he said he doesn't want kids, and she was almost trying to convince him otherwise like oh but it doesn't mean giving up your freedom/life! you can still have that!

I felt really sorry for Josie, she was used for Helen's convenience and company whilst she found herself a new guy (Helen also seem to have encouraged Josie to put on a fair bit of weight as well..).

I agree, I also hate the way she aired out Josie's financial situation, basically how she couldn't afford to be paying that much rent due to her job so Mark was moving in instead. I thought that was really cruel as Josie has been a big help to her since the split with her ex and it was nice of her to move in to help out. She didn't really ask for her life to be online like that. I don't think it was Helen's place to say.

Totally agree. The bizarre faces and noises she made whilst cringing at the old video were infinitely more embarrassing than what she was cringing at. The Helen in the old video was pretty, at a healthy weight, with great hair and make-up. The slobby, chubby clown caked in terrible make-up, mocking the video was everything you hope to not become as you age (although I wouldn't expect anyone to develop an appearance like Helen's current one until at least 50).

I know this is a bitching thread but the remarks about her physical appearance are uncalled for.

She is most definitely overweight, and she holds weight around her abdomen - this is known as visceral fat and it's the most unhealthy kind of fat to "wear" because it surrounds your abdominal organs.

Overweight people like Helen being seen as a normal size in the UK and USA doesn't make it healthy I'm afraid, it's just a reflection of the unhealthy diets and lifestyles that people have here. A quick Google search shows this:

"Data from the Health Survey for England (HSE) conducted in 2018 indicated that 31% of adults in the United Kingdom were recognised as clinically obese with a Body Mass Index (BMI) greater than 30. 63% of adults were classified as overweight or obese (a body mass index of 25 or above)"

So a "normal" size in the UK is overweight. No need to feel sorry for me, I'm very happy with my body and really enjoy being active and eating good food to look after it as best as I can.

You know the BMI scale is bullshit right? It was developed in the 1800s with an abysmal sample size that is not considered scientifically valid. It doesn’t not take into consideration muscle mass and bone density which is a far better indicator of good health. These days you could take an “everyday athlete” who goes to the gym regularly and has a decent amount of muscle and a “skinny fat” person who holds large amounts of fat around their organs and the “skinny” person would be seen as being the “healthier” person.

I thought the same. The sudden boot camping, hanging out with friends constantly/old friends showing up, pampering sessions etc. The exact same. It would be quite interesting to see what Helen's days are like without a boyfriend perhaps? I really enjoyed her vlogs between Maff and Mark she was so determined with everything. I don't wish her annnny heartbreak (any more) at all, it must be horrible, she may not even address his absence. She's just posted on her story she wants an adventure early next year, asking who wants to join her. Erm. Not Mark?

This pandemic has taught me a lot of people 1) never practised handwashing with any regularity and 2) people do not seem to be teaching their kids about handwashing....literally every child we told to wash their hands on leaving the toilet "oh, because of coronavirus." I did also have a friend when I was in high school, who went to the toilet when she visited, and never washed her hands...even after pooping....yup!
