Will there be a memorial service post COVID? An opportunity for those attending to wear uniforms maybe?

I know its after the funeral, but if it makes things easier for HM surely that's what matters at the moment.

Long term I think things will be put in place, but I would imagine that HM and most immediate family are just trying to get through this week as best they can.

There are always family members who are PIA but unfortunately the RF have those playing out publicly.

Big bl**dy whoop! Why is this news? Wish they would stop with this drip feeding! We all know it’s lies.

ETA I was pregnant with my first child when my father-in-law died abroad and my husband had to travel over there for the funeral. I wasn’t able to go with him as I had a threatened miscarriage and my mother stayed with me while hubby was away.
The difference was that I KNEW my in-laws and got on well with them, unlike the American faker.

It’s up to them but I feel it shouldn’t be glamorised as real work. I’m aware some women have no choice in the matter but let’s not pretend it’s real work/ a real job. I hate to see the rise in only fans for example and how many young women get influenced by the likes of idiots like Meghan Barton Hansen and Lauren Goodger etc glamorising and normalising posting sexual pics and videos on the internet which women may later regret.

In terms of Meghans yacht girl days anyone claiming the sex work Is real work or agreeing with it then can’t use her yacht girl days against her?!

What's clear is that Andrew and Hazza didn't get what they wanted. No uniforms. Harry was pushing to wear his Blues and Royals uniform, last seen on his wedding day to LA Markle. Unbelievable, monstrous arrogance. Queen said 'No' and also said 'No' to her beloved Andrew.

Everyone in morning dress can't have been the plan, can it? What was so wrong about Peter Phillips, Andrew and Harry in suits? So this is a midweek decision. It stops the debate and now the Palace can see that Hazza is unrepentant and just as selfish and grandiose as ever.

The Mirror had the original 'Hazza reaches out to Charles, William, Béatrice and Eugénie' story last night from 'a source'. Its pure Harkle PR. Harry 'doesn't want drama' is the line. Not 'contrite Harry apologises for idiocy of Oprahgate'. He's still a little traitor.

Maybe, just possibly Prince Philip could have said. No fucking uniforms for any of them, it's possible he could have foreseen this ridiculous stand off. I wouldn't be surprised at all if this no uniforms for anyone is his edict. None of us know, neither do any of the press. HMTQ has spoken and as far as I'm concerned she has the last word.

If i told you …

Im going to put my two pennies into the hat re uniforms. I think it should be on this occasion future kings only to wear military uniform for the funeral. Send a clear and concise message. The sooner the traitor Harry is back in la la land the better for me

Both William and Catherine were very well thought of when they lived on Anglesey pre Wedding ...Catherine even helped with local scout troop and by all accounts was a very good baker ( I have this on very good authority from a colleague )
I once stood next to her when she was shopping in our local waitrose....no airs and graces- the local lads in the store were so excited to see her ( she had very low key security at the time) she even carried her own basket - I had a quick nosy to see what she was buying ( digestive biscuits and chocolate iirc!)what I do remember was that she was stunning and had the most amazing bouncy hair!
William flew the helicopter several time to local hospital to drop off casualties , but no one bothered him

At least the uniform debacle has shown us that Harry has no intention of showing contrition, he’s beyond loathsome.

He’ll be on the first available flight back and good riddance to him.

I'm beginning to think It may be a good idea re no uniforms, Harry would be hamming it up for the Netflix documentary\drama which is inevitably coming down the track at some point. So, no uniforms means no marching or photo op for Harry to make mega bucks.

I was listening to something on the radio a few weeks ago where they said that Andrew's lawyers were advising him not to go for questioning because they were worried after that disastrous interview with Emily Maitlis and apparently he's also worried that if goes to the US they might keep him there. I agree though, I think he should just address it (and he should have done so a very long time ago).

I agree, it doesn't make him look special, surrounded by pomp, everyone will look like a normal family and he won't be able to cry victim.

Also it shows him and Andrew up because of everything that was important to them, to the others it's more important the focus is on Philip not on who bloody wears what.

I remember an interview years ago with a royal photographer (I think it was Arthur Edwards).
He said Diana was a lot more photogenic than Kate but that in real life Kate was much more stunning and that photograph’s didn’t do her justice.

yes we will all be glad when he buggars off back to slutguts, I am sick of hearing their pathetic attempts to back peddle and sickly PR bloody desperados. He is a disgrace to any family

I'm in the same place. Ann and Edward in plain clothes, unfair but prevents it being all about Andy'n'Haz. Charles and William in uniform would be a better compromise.

On the other hand, St George's will look very sombre with just 30 dressed in black. Maybe the military uniforms in such a sparse congregation would look diminished, somehow?

Fully agree. If the stories that Harry and/or Randy Andy were kicking off about uniforms then by banning them all, yet again HM Queen has played another blinder.

It will forever now be "the funeral where Harry and Andy were so childish about things that everyone had to change their clothes" and that will be reminded time and time again when the photos come out.

It also stops Netflix/MeAgain having a new set of photos or footage of Hazno in a posh uniform to fling about the place.

I'm quite sure that Philip won't give a shiny shit either way from his coffin, and the military folks might be pissed off a little for now but not as badly as they would have been for years to come if Hazno had got his way and been allowed to wear a non-entitled uniform and the photos keep reappearing.

In the long run this is the best answer.

Anyway we will see whether it's the truth or whether it was all media lies, on Saturday afternoon.
