Even if the stories were completely false, I just love how the daft bint doesn't understand that the reason the RF tends to stonewall this kind of thing in general is because conspiracy theorising/tit-talking the royals is basically a national, nay global, pastime. The British RF is one of the most long-standing, high-profile institution in the world, and for better or worse its' members are relentlessly talked & speculated about. It does none of them any good to stoop to even acknowledging 90% of the pub banter-tier theorising about them. It would take up the majority of their time if they did so, and in a secular/democratic era, getting into legal or rhetorical spats with the general public or the media are simply optics the RF cannot afford.
It's easy to see that ignoring all but the most egregious, easily proven and high-profile libel against them is by far the most sensible approach the royals can take, and I'm not even British. Only a gossamer-skinned narcissist would think it prudent to engage in tabloid mudflinging like this. If that isn't beneath you, nothing is.
