Ahhh loved the tension of that episode. So taut. Up there with DotDotDot Cotton making an emergency exit. So is Tommy off to Spain or is he gonna be a surprise guest at Catherine's leaving do?
(Maybe) getting (nearly) away with murder has made Faisal suddenly cocky and calm... Asking Hepworth if something's bothering him...he's flying way too close to the sun.
So many great lines tonight:
"She's a mechanic?"
"No she's a farmer. Or was, till I arrested her."
"For what?"
"For manslaughter."
Also that bit about the whip round even getting donations from people Catherine's arrested.
The announcer here in NI, before the show started said "we've had a week to stew over everything."

As much as I want the husband to go down, I do hope Faisal gets his just desserts for the things he’s done (one way or another).
The PE teacher/pharmacist/wife storyline does seem a bit extraneous at this point - presumably they’ll tie it all together with the Knezevics in the last two episodes, but it feels like a bit of a distraction at this point.
I can’t see how that would happen - Alison would have been in a women’s prison.

With the escape, I feel as if the writers wanted Ryan to see TLR biff up a few innocent court staff to put him off him for good & that’s part of the narrative reason why he escaped there rather than in transit.

but it’s fun to think about(gets less plausible as it goes on) Catherine’s ex will find out the ones who started the fight that led to TLR’s escape were the Knezevic lackeys. He‘ll either run a story about it or question Darius Knezevic when they meet, who will (arrange to) threaten/trap/murder him, possibly at that asbestos warehouse which I think will come up again. Darius’ brother has been set up as the muscle so I feel that’ll come into play here.
Catherine’s ex is clearly a (if not the only) threat to his election which seems to be Darius’ number 1 priority. I just don’t see what narrative purpose the ex’s attendance of the trial could serve aside from this (& feeding back to Catherine that Ryan was there).
If the Knezevics get got early on, that’ll hamper TLR’s escape as they’ll have likely arranged it.
from there I’m stumped, but possibly:
1. With the Knezevic lackeys recently captured for their involvement with the Faisal drugs trade (can see Faisal giving them up and them going in for a penny in for a pound, esp. if the Knezevics find out about the money rucksacks - maybe theyll worry they’ll be killed if released, like how a lackey in S2 was killed after being released on bail paid by the Knezevics), perhaps they’ll give up the location of the asbestos warehouse which will lead the police to Darius, his brother and Catherine’s ex
2. The Knezevic lackeys won’t be captured but will be asked to do the dirty work killing Catherine’s ex. They’ll do it at the warehouse and the police will bust in. The link to Darius will ruin his chances of election. This would leave Darius’ brother at a loose end but is more logical than Darius being present

Obviously the actor is extremely attractive, and obviously doesn’t translate to real life at all…but I can’t help but laugh that everyone is thirsting after Tommy Lee Royce after all this and Catherine telling anyone who’ll listen what an absolute demon he is and S2 being about the consequences wrought by random women thinking he is fit hahaha. all he had to do was shave, have a haircut and put on a suit and suddenly we’re all

Right, so the Knesovics helped Tommy escape as an agreement that he wouldn't give evidence against for that murder. But now he's a wanted man, he's of no use to them , so surely they will try and kill him (like Ashley Cowgill)?
I did love how calm Faisal was to Rob after the crash. The way to really rile up an angry person is just being so calm, reasonable and unflappable. The only time the character hasn't been a complete drip.
But he is so gonna get busted, phone records will show him in contact with Joanna, so obviously where she got the diazapam from, fingerprints on the door handle, and inevitably there is gonna be some DNA contamination somewhere.
The newsagents TLR went to is the same name as the one Neil works at wasnt it? So he is probably pressured into helping the Knesevics etc at the very least if he isn't dodgy and isn't TLR's father.
