I think she probably was charged with manslaughter. She did say she was at a open prison. I do wonder if she got a more lenient sentence due to what happened to her by her dad??

Yes that’s what I’m thinking.
You don’t get long over here for a lot of things so I don’t think the story line is too far fetched
