Nothing quite says "mug me" like a bag with a padlock. In central London. In 2025.

I can see why she liked it first time around as a teen, but WTF?

That is one weird purse.

I have a few Aspinal bags I bought on sale that were waaaaaay cheaper than that and probably 1 million times better made!

Yes, they are nicely made. There are some good brands out there that produce excellent bags for the GBP 300-500 mark, making it possible to get something very nice. Aspinall, Polene, Strathberry etc. No need to spend thousands. Not convinced Chloe will retain its value like some of the luxury bag brands. I thought that big old padlock on it looked horrible.

Chloe makes me think of the sort of bags us high school gals in the US lusted after in the early 2000s... that was so the vibe. They look so trashy. For £2000 too - that is insane!

I think Han has just outed herself as a fur coat and no knickers kinda girl with this bag purchase. I'm a little bit surprised, but not really. 🤭

Interesting, you should say that @elliebee27, the Paddington bag first came out in 2005. I got into discussion with the sales assistant in Selfridges ... it's hilarious because if I hadn't contributed to this thread I wouldn't have given those bags a second glance but because of this discussion/Hannah I did stop. Of course the Sales Assistants were champing at the bit to flog me one so I checked the price etc and I got a full history of the bag. At the moment this bag is highly sought after and Selfridges only have these display bags and there's a waiting list for them which beggars belief. In a few months we will see Zara producing designer dupes for uder GBP 50.

Sorry I didn't mean this to turn into a discussion about handbags.

In the Londoner video, did anyone else think she 'woke up' with a full lid of eyeshadow.

Haven't watched yet but be interesting to see what she thinks. Have stayed there before and loved it.

She always does her makeup and then puts a robe on over her clothes to get back into bed to do the little morning bed chat thing. (That's if she even stays the night there, I'm starting to wonder if she just goes home and then comes back in the morning 🤔)

I think she stays; she's shown herself editing the video she's filming before in one of the videos, I assume she's editing up until that moment, and then gets back in the robe to finish her final remarks, and then has the video almost completely edited by the time she leaves. All of her price things that you only find out from checking out are added in as text.

Just watching the latest video, hotel looks incredible. But again going on about not wanting to eat too much so didn't actually have a dinner just a couple of snacks. Also she mentions wanting to try the jacuzzi but I don't get why she wouldn't want to use the pool/sauna etc. Seems like such a waste

Hi @emm and everyone, I've just watched it too. It thought the hotel looked stunning, though I would never spend that amount of my own money on a room for one night. I agree about the snacks, they were tiny, she must have been so hungry or is being very strict with herself. Possibly she hoovered up all the complementary snacks in her room. The spa facilities were excellent, I love the Laconium beds, "those hot stone seat things" as Hannah called them, and it's amazing that she got a lift home in the house Bentley. This could certainly spoil her for any other hotel she stays at.

Yeh I'd never spend that much either (if I had the money but I obviously don't 😅) if I was her I'd have taken all the free snacks with me! When she mentioned who would want 4 peaches my immediate thought was that I'd take them 😅

I don’t have the money either emm but I’d rather spend several days in a nice Air BnB in Italy for that. Perhaps money is no object for Hannah, I wondered if she had small snacks because she couldn’t justify spending more on food after paying so much for her room. The food and beverage prices were eye wateringly expensive.

The whole stay with food and everything is a business expense since she's filming for YT, so she certainly doesn't have to worry about any costs, and for sure reaps way more 🤑 back.

I find it hard to believe that these ‘influencers’ can earn so much for content that is often so vacuous. Even those who start off with good intentions seem to be corrupted by the money or their perceived fame. People that I once liked eventually change. Gary Eats, for example, now uses clickbait titles with a stupid selfie pulling a silly faux-shocked face superimposed over some restaurant they are reviewing. Take Hannah’s review on Tuesday …

She actually enjoyed the meal! But here she is with an intentionally ambiguous/misleading title pulling an exaggerated face like a bad actor in a hammy silent movie. Gary has started to do similar which is disappointing. I do find it quite surprising that these fundamentally very unexceptional people can make a lot of 💰 from this content, in an economy where it can be challenging to make ends meet. Poncing around buying weird handbags for £thousands. It’s a strange world indeed. Forgive the rant folks, had a trying day yesterday.

Ugh Gary Eats, I can't stand the guy. He waffles on and on and takes about half an hour before he even has a bite of the food then takes another half an hour to finish it no doubt by which time it has gone cold and turned to tit anyway. Just shut up, eat the food and then tell me if it's nice or not thanks Gary.

Yeh I agree, I think back in the day people started social media just for a hobby, now it seems most people just hope to end up being able to quit their job and do it full time so just resort to cheap click bait to get views
