I don’t think she’s a brilliant singer or actress either though. I mean, she’s a million times better than I would ever be but I don’t think it’s something that comes naturally to her if that makes sense. I feel like she’s peaked and this is as good as it gets for her.

It was the first public preview / a "paid" dress rehearsal ... they've got time to fix it.

I’ve seen a lot of negativity around the performances in previews (but that’s what a preview is, meant to iron out the kinks) and Amber has done a TikTok post saying no one wants your opinion, and people are taking about a rabid Hannah fan base coming out in the comments of the curtain calls.

I don’t know much about her but how does she have such a fan base when she’s not been a lead in any of her shows, or has she? She’s only got a small part (and cover) in this and her fans are pitting her against amber. I don’t get it. I won’t be seeing the show but the comments all seem interesting !!

Hannah’s got the traditional rags to riches story that makes theatre kids think it could happen to them. During Covid, she was a drama student dancing in her workplace (Tesco) and she became TikTok famous, which led to her rabid fan base and all the stunt casting followed.

I’m not a big Hannah fan but I think there’s a place for her and other Hannah types in plenty of shows.

Personally I think it’s just mean to say she’s not pretty. She’s not an unattractive woman.

I’m all for constructive criticism and questioning whether someone suits x or y role but some of it is just outright mean and that’s not really in the spirit of being a fan of musicals.

Agreed. I think Amber knows how to act and get into a character, Hannah for me is just always Hannah overdoing her singing and dancing with no characterisation whatsoever.
