I’m not deep in the musical theatre world but is it not strange to plan to swap lead roles half way through multiple shows? I just assumed a mid-show swap would only happen if the main cast member got sick unexpectedly.

it’s because amber is contracted to 7 shows a week. any more than that and hannah is doing the role of elle. which is mainly matinee’s- the unlucky souls who have to hear hannah screeching

It was the first public preview / a "paid" dress rehearsal ... they've got time to fix it.

This is Hannah in every production she’s done though. Dancing isn’t her strong point and she always tends to overdo it or give panto. I don’t see her as a convincing lead and she’d never have got there without a social media following.

I don’t think she’s a brilliant singer or actress either though. I mean, she’s a million times better than I would ever be but I don’t think it’s something that comes naturally to her if that makes sense. I feel like she’s peaked and this is as good as it gets for her.
