She could easily take the 2 year old to the toilet with her. It isn’t ideal but if you know it could escalate to that just take her with you. She doesn’t like solutions she just blames & shames Riley.

My comment still stands following her justification. You know it’s a behaviour of your child. Work to help the child. Will it work straight away? No. Will it work every time? No. But if it isn’t gram worthy or free, it won’t happen.

Ok I’m confused now, with the OT picture cards..hasn’t Grecian always claimed that Riley isn’t impacted intellectually? Hasn’t that always been the argument as to why she doesn’t go to special school? It’s obvious to me as a teacher if a child is needing these visual planners and behaviour prompts that they have some intellectual disabilities. Absolutely not shaming Riley, but if she’s needing PECS (picture exchange communication system) then she has been identified as requiring additional support. God I hope they get more help and she sends her to special school when they move. My heart bleeds for this poor girl

AAC is for any one and everyone who has trouble with communication- for an example if someone’s autistic they may experience Alexithymia which means they struggle to verbalise their thoughts or what’s upset them, but they could point to a picture or type it on a device. Clearly she needs additional support with visual scheduling and AAC to be being used but definitely doesn’t mean she’s ID as well.
Grecian really fucks me off with this though. I know specialist is hard to get into because of entry parameters around IQ but she hasn’t even had her properly psychologically assessed!? Let alone god forbid she consider alternative options. My son is ASD3, CP, borderline ID and we tried main stream kinder this year and it was a disaster so he’s going to special kinder next year. I do agree that you don’t know until you get there and all kids have a right and all of that but if the shoe doesn’t fit you don’t keep cramming the foot in, you get new shoes

she needs to watch some old school Trinny & Susunnah about about shapes and what will flatter her…She really needs some help with her style, this look is horrendous and the items are too small, the jeans she wears are too small, the big baggy dresses do her no favours… when she tries to be trendy she fails like the blazer/bra combo
I can see her organs through her translucent skin.
Pretty sure the park and craft is a normal day for kids not a lucky bonus!!! What a bloody flog.
