That would mean someone having to make a decision. Far easier to have endless meetings and write endless internal memo's. It's a good way to justify your job, take home a very good wage, whilst not actually taking responsibility for anything. Just because some people didn't have a bad experience doesn't mean that's all people who have encountered him. The workplace wasn’t suitable to the disability nobody knew he had. If he actually submits this claim to the Employment Tribunal he’s a bigger idiot than we thought, and we thought he was colossally stupid.

Unfortunately, bullies are protected. I put a complaint in about being bullied at work, a few colleagues backed me up. I had to explain myself to HR, I felt stupid relaying it. The bully is still there, and her clique are now bullying me. Some people even told me it's my fault for being bullied, I should ignore them, or stand up to them.

In 2017 as well. He made a rape joke on the Celeb Masterchef set, which was so horrible a woman (rumoured to be Kate Bottely) walked off the set in tears and reported it. He was made to apologise and did so with 'with tears in his eyes'.

He clearly never learnt his lesson, as Charlotte Crosby, who was in the latest show, said he was really nasty to her as well, and the whole 'It's a surprise' thing is bullshit, as at least one producer has said they did report him years back, but it was ignored.

I think the CSA experiences, or why he's done what he's done, are largely irrelevant (to how things have ended up, not the wider discussions about misogyny) - I think it was his response and videos last weekend that have sunk him.

There's a world in which, if he'd responded with contrition and said something like "I'm revisiting (?) what I said and did in each of these cases and am working to understand why that's not okay" then things could've quietened down. I'm not saying that would be right or fair and that it would absolve him of what he's done, but if I was a woman who'd had a bad experience with him seeing his pumped up attitude at the weekend would've made me tell the press - and that's what's happened.

Over 50 years ago, I took a shortcut to work through Smithfield Market. Most mornings a guy with a barrow full of pigs’ ears would call out “Morning Rose, get em off” I just used to laugh and roll my eyes.
It wasn’t sexual harassment then, it was banter. Some women would accept it as such. If they didn’t they would sort it out themselves or get a male friend to give the offender a visit.

Just posted on the secret celeb thread, he hasn’t a snowball in hell’s chance of suing the Beeb for discrimination against his autism that he didn’t know he had. How the hell would the Beeb make adjustments for it if he didn’t know he had it.

More to the point if, as he claims, many colleagues suspected neurodiversity during the time they worked together, HE was obviously aware in which case why didn’t HE a) reign in his behaviour and b) go for testing (as he isn’t short of a bob or two (or wasn’t). Why is it always someone else’s fault?
As the parent of an autistic child I get incensed by the frequency this is trotted out as an excuse for poor behaviour. My child knows such crude behaviour is bad. They also had to fight tooth and nail for a diagnosis whereas these people who WANT a diagnosis for an excuse, appear to be able to find a malleable doctor who is willing to certify them as neurodiverse for the appropriate fee.
