CIC’s are catnip to grifters. People think they are basically a charity.
A Community Interest Company is a type of company which puts its profits back into the company. They exist to do something for a community. That’s why you hear of food banks, hostels, community centres and the like being a CIC. There are many good ones.
However they are a grifters paradise. You will find many CIC’s where the director is drawing a
large salary - Jodie Marsh pays herself £75k per year from her animal
abuse sanctuary which relies on donations and fundraisers

oh and it’s in her house where she lives.
She recently told people they would go to hell when they die if they don’t donate.
