I really like Anna but to be fair she should have gone last night. She came last in the pattern challenge and then that made measure was a disaster. Yes it was ambitious but it couldn't be done in the time allowed., and isn't that the point?

Beth deserves to win. I would be disappointed if Anna wins now. I think both Esme and Patrick have a soft spot for Anna.

For purely curious reasons, has Anna ever said anything about the scar on her neck? It looks quite recent. I think it looks like she's had her thyroid removed.

I agree. I really like Beth, but for weeks now I've felt like Anna was chosen early as series winner regardless of her output in the challenges. I hope I'm wrong.

Oh I disagree with who went out.
I think Esme shows blatant favouritism toward one contestant,
who though very good, has recently continually overstretched herself and made quite bad errors.
They can't keep saying 'oh but she shows so much ambition' when she keeps failing to execute it half way decently.
Agree - I said to Mr Mice "They want to keep Anna in, and it isn't fair"

They admitted that Heather's dress was much better made - but Anna had n=been more ambitious - how many times have we heard them say "Oh - they were too ambitious. It's better to make something simpler and finish it well than have some wildly creative idea you can't complete."

I was very annoyed on Heather's behalf.

Apparently it is a birthmark - personally I thought it looked like an emergency tracheotomy scar. If it was a severe emergency and she'd been at risk of choking/suffocation, it would explain it being so high because they'd have to go in quickly without worrying about how it looked.

Thyroid scars tend to be much lower - they cut on the "necklace line" at the base of the throat because the scar largely gets lost in natural neck creases and it gives a better cosmetic result.

In the interests of full disclosure I'm not a doctor, but used to work closely with an endocrine surgeon umpteen years ago.

I feel the same. Last week, I thought it was particularly obvious that no matter what flaws there are in her work, they will say oh but... and nitpick someone else for something smaller. I like all four who were left last week - have to watch last night's yet - I think Beth would be the more deserving winner. But can see them picking Anna.

I like Beth, too. She's less flamboyant than Anna, but I think her work is much better.

Anna was really good in earlier episodes. But I think the judges constantly praising her ambition and imagination (her disco outfit should not have got garment of the week) has meant she's overstretched herself recently. And hasn't been able to execute her last couple of made to measures at all well.
Her dress last night was terrible. Whereas Heather made one mistake, which was to attach the lace to the lining at the hem. But it was obvious she was going when the judges were summing up and Esme was almost grumpy about it 'it's VERY simple'.
They've got a real blind spot with Anna.

I'll say straight off I like Anna and she's turned in some terrific work, but I do think she's slipped back of late and also that some of her designs are a bit one trick pony with regards to her personal style and influences.

As a rule I largely agree with the judges, but this series I'm finding it hard to second guess what they're going to decide. Ideally a blend of superb sewing and creativity, but when they have to choose one over the other, which way are they going to go?

I'd like Beth to win at the moment.

I think the bottom half of her dress was supposed to be a pencil skirt and form fitting and it wasn’t. So that may have been another error.

I do think Anna was lucky, over-ambition and poor execution have often been the downfall of many a contestant. I feel, perhaps unfairly, her previous body of work carried her through when they always suggest they have to mark on that week’s performance.

I personally preferred Heather’s outputs to Emma’s although Emma’s was my favourite dress of the lot this week.

Beth’s strengths lie in preciseness and attention to detail, Anna is more naturally creative which is what appeals to Patrick and Esme I think.

Didn't Heather do that lace overlay before? I thought her dress was awful to be honest, it reminded me of one that my youngest daughter had from Jane Norman in the 1990s but it didn't fit the model and was so unflattering.

I bought his book on audible and I was really excited because he narrates it but honestly I couldn't get beyond a chapter or two because his voice was really boring even though the subject title of something that I'm really interested in! 🫣🫣🫣

It was weird how they didn't comment on Emma's M2Ms actual sewing, just the fabric and the colour and how it looked. They didn't seem to get up close to it at all. I thought it looked baggy under the arm
It was a weird fit, something odd happening at the belly area as well I was also surprised they didn't comment on it properly but maybe that's just the editing.
It wasn't the worst or the best of the bunch though🤷🏻‍♀️
I also agree none of them were great, if anything Beth's would've been better without the overshirt, the cheap chiffon was hiding 90% of the Chanel- quality tweed🤨
