I think , maybe just my heightened social media usage in lockdown, but it seems people are using very serious mental health terms for everything on social media now? sorry how can a song (unless it was played when you were in a hugely traumatic experience) give you PTSD?! I really find this insulting, especially as so many infleucners seem to be citing MH issues as an excuse to break rulesI love Grace I just caught up on some of her recent videos and the one she uploaded on the 9th on Extra Grack she was talking about that Take That song giving her "a bit PTSD" Or something and I remember in a video a few months ago she said something similar (pretty sure it was something about a cake going wrong) and PTSD and I remember being a bit upset by it because I have PTSD myself because of abuse when I was a child and been struggling more in lockdown so maybe I'm just being super sensitive but I feel like it's kinda like when people say "oh I really love cleaning its like I have OCD". I don't know if I'm maybe being too sensitive about it x
I think it is offensive and I was guilty of saying stupid things in passing like that too. You're not being sensitive about it and I hope you're doing well xI love Grace I just caught up on some of her recent videos and the one she uploaded on the 9th on Extra Grack she was talking about that Take That song giving her "a bit PTSD" Or something and I remember in a video a few months ago she said something similar (pretty sure it was something about a cake going wrong) and PTSD and I remember being a bit upset by it because I have PTSD myself because of abuse when I was a child and been struggling more in lockdown so maybe I'm just being super sensitive but I feel like it's kinda like when people say "oh I really love cleaning its like I have OCD". Thank you it has been more difficult in lockdown but yeah I will be okay & know Grace wouldn't have meant it in a bad way most people wouldn't either xI think it is offensive and I was guilty of saying stupid things in passing like that too. What video was this? I think I missed it but I'd be interested to watch where she said it!I get the impression someone’s been reading here. In her last video she said how she’d not been to the shops in a week. And made a point of mentioning it was for essentials (female hygiene) and I swear she’s never ever brought that up before.
No I don't think you are being too sensitive, those sort of comments do seem to have crept in more, and it's not good. I like most of her videos and it's sad she said that.I love Grace I just caught up on some of her recent videos and the one she uploaded on the 9th on Extra Grack she was talking about that Take That song giving her "a bit PTSD" Or something and I remember in a video a few months ago she said something similar (pretty sure it was something about a cake going wrong) and PTSD and I remember being a bit upset by it because I have PTSD myself because of abuse when I was a child and been struggling more in lockdown so maybe I'm just being super sensitive but I feel like it's kinda like when people say "oh I really love cleaning its like I have OCD". You're definitely not being too sensitive, hope you are okay. I have PTSD and OCD so completely get what you mean. It can be quite jarring when you watch a Grackle video to switch off/distract yourself and then Grace says something like that. Agree also with the person who said people on the internet seem to be throwing around serious mental health terms, which I think has a knock on effect where people who actually have those conditions are taken less seriously. To be fair to Grace, I don't think there is any malice behind it and she isn't doing it for attention like many influencers - I think she is just quite dramatic and naive and doesn't know any better but she should be more careful.I love Grace I just caught up on some of her recent videos and the one she uploaded on the 9th on Extra Grack she was talking about that Take That song giving her "a bit PTSD" Or something and I remember in a video a few months ago she said something similar (pretty sure it was something about a cake going wrong) and PTSD and I remember being a bit upset by it because I have PTSD myself because of abuse when I was a child and been struggling more in lockdown so maybe I'm just being super sensitive but I feel like it's kinda like when people say "oh I really love cleaning its like I have OCD". I need to know what happened at Halloween in Brighton on the photo video! I thought maybe she hated Halloween as it is seen by some Christians as Witchcraft but it sounds like it was a specific incident which put her offIn her latest video she said last summer she was struggling with things behind the scenes, does anyone know what she’s talking about ?
I watched and mostly enjoyed it, I love their friendship but I do know what you mean, I think they were trying a bit too hard with some of the reactions (the jumper one particularly).Oh god I couldn't finish today's video with the present swaps with honorit was maybe slightly too high energy? I cant put my finger on it but think that's the first time I've turned off a grackle vid!
I think she is trying to re introduce dairy in her diet! She posted a video of her eating McDonald’s (it wasn’t too long ago) and she got some cheese bites and said they didn't go down extremely well but I’m pretty sure she is trying to. I don’t watch Grace religiously as I used to so I’m not too sure.In the present swap with Honor, Honor gives her a bar of mini egg dairy milk to have after Veganuary.... am I missing something here?! I thought Grace was dairy free! I seem to remember her saying a couple of months ago there were a few developments with regard to dairy but I don’t think it was mentioned again....unless I missed it?
Does anyone know if she ever revisited that subject? I’m interested to know as I’m dairy free for the same reasons/reactions as Grace...
oh yes I do remember the cheese bites now! Haha - Thankyou. I hope she goes into a bit more detail I’m interested to know!I think she is trying to re introduce dairy in her diet! Oh dear. I agree. Managed about 5 minutes but the over the top reactions were cringe. It all seemed a bit too self congratulatory and cliquey.Oh god I couldn't finish today's video with the present swaps with honorit was maybe slightly too high energy? Yep I turned off after honor opened the pump top for her coffee syrup. They are both absolutely gorgeous girls & I'm sure honor is a lovely girl & a great friend to grack. Just think it would have been better if grace had done the start of the video showing what she'd put in honors box then the 2nd half opening her own. I obviously only watched them open a couple of things each but they both had the most over the top reactions over some olives & cream eggs (I actually think honor was worse) then you had honors sister (I assume) shouting off camera & them all cracking up - cliquey is the perfect word!Oh dear.
