Update. I've been laid up with a bad back for 2 days and have been binge watching her. Omg she is just so lovely. I absolutely hate this phrase so forgive me in advance but I have a 'girl crush'. The lack of vanity genuinely, the love of junk food, the lovely family, her complete lack of guile over being a catwalk model. And she is funny. She is just so normal. In an abnormal world.

They're Christian but a particular branch of Christianity (not sure on correct terminology?). I remember they went to see a musical act for her birthday last year (or year before?) and I googled the act and it was a religious show attached to a branch of Christianity

Anyone else amazed that she thought that company sent her that huge box of junk food just because she did a big order? I'm pretty sure they did it just because you are a youtuber. There is so much junk food in her videos and I'm confused because I thought she was lactose intolerant and she's shovelling away mini eggs, white chocolate and orange twirls?
How long till she's eaten that huge hoard and pops to the shops for yet more? And what did she do with all those cakes she made for that video? I wonder if she ever donates anything since she's churchy.

She has spoken about giving snacks and baking to teachers at the schools her family teaches at regularly in the past. I wouldn't be surprised if she did that with some of the gifted things.

Grace was saying in her recent London vlog that Accutane is making her bones sore. Her skin is looking a lot better and less painful now. I know that it can go in weird cycles with accutane though. Katie Snooks had a horrible time with it but it seemed to work.

She’s just a normal girl and that’s what I love. Even though she’s becoming well known on YouTube she hasn’t changed, and I can’t imagine her doing YouTube as a full time job either. I reckon she’ll give herself summer as a break after uni (understandably, most students I know do this) and then she’ll start looking for a job in baking. I also think that her family, siblings especially, would never let the fame get to her. I don’t think that would happen anyway, but her being surrounded by people who all have normal jobs, like her parents and sister are all teachers, will keep a sense of normality in her life. It’s not like she’s Zoella surrounded by a bunch of people who don’t work either.

I love Grace and her family. One of my fav moments was her serving sizes video and she smashes that mayo glass and has a mini squabble with her brother but continues to eat her chips anyway because she’s starving!!!! queen

Long time lurker - but I think on the class thing (which is so British!) it’s clear they’re lower to middle middle class and her parents bought the house decades ago. I think she’s really sweet and it’s refreshing and she is my favourite YouTube but it certainly does get a little jarring when she’s 23 and I’m worried about rent and she’s stressing about an air fryer

They've only lived in that house a few years - no clue if they rent or have a mortgage

Absolutely this! I don't watch all of her videos, because sometimes the content just isn't my cup of tea, but I still adore her and think she is the best thing to happen to YouTube in so long. She's so lovely and genuine.

I agree. Even the videos I'm not interested in I can still see she puts in 100%. Shes a good egg our Grace!

Oh for sure, Grace seems to be much more competent than many other people her age, and I agree with the comparison to ClickforTaz. There is a trend for people to "regress" around their parents as when you're in their company or your childhood home, your mind feels safe and likes to replay behaviours associated with that. (I read a study somewhere about all these people moving back in with their parents due to covid and struggling with the independence v being a child thing, I'll see if I can find it.)

Yeah thats true, obviously this year me and my sister haven't stayed with my parents, but often when we are there together for a week or so during holidays we will end up having petty childish arguments that we had as teenagers, something we would never do usually lol

About her eating dairy - I found the whole dairy intolerant thing a bit strange and wonder if maybe she got the 'diagnosis' from one of those pseudoscientific food allergy testing companies. It might be the case what she actually has is just your bog-standard trouble digesting lactose and a bit of IBS. I could understand not want to talk about it if that's the case because she might feel a bit silly if she found out it's not 100% true she has to avoid all dairy completely. She might even be scared of getting backlash considering she was very keen in the past to point out she was 'dairy intolerant' not 'lactose intolerant' (whatever that means).

I wonder when is Chloe’s wedding.

I think in one of the vlogs recently she said she only had a month to buy her outfit for Chloe’s wedding. I may have misheard but I remember being surprised as she only got engaged very recently and it must be even harder to book somewhere during Covid times. I wish them well though, the whole family is so lovely.

They seem pretty chill on videos but I guess they'll want to come across as good so looking at the dad's Instagram page (Chloe's fiancé) he seems heavily involved in the church

Oh definitely I have no doubt that they're all really nice people they all seem so genuine and kind. I just have certain issues with these type of churches I find they can be quite culty and maybe even take advantage of people. Like I assume it's members donate alot to the church and probably work for them for free etc.
