I think the reason she stopped doing what I eat in a day videos is because of comments like this, I think she mentioned in a few videos how horrible it is for people to assume that she has an eating disorder when she doesn't. (btw this isn't meant as an attack on you personally this is just a general comment)

I think it must be difficult for her as someone who (I assume) has always had a good relationship with food to see people who are in recovery watching your videos and copying you, it probably isn't something she could have imagined happening

It’s a shame. I used to binge watch her videos and now I rarely ever watch anything from her. I really hope for her sake that she changes up her content and allow her channel to evolve, because if she doesn’t then her views will go down even more. I have a feeling she’ll end up like Zoella and most of those YouTubers who haven’t evolved their YouTube channel over the years, I also feel she tries to be like Zoella.

Yeah must admit I really like Grace and watched her videos religiously however now I'm not that into them. I think she got some crappy content from her NY trip. I went there a few years ago and done so much in a short amount of time however didn't go to shops or supermarkets.

I know she doesn't "owe" us anything but there was so little info as to who the "we" in her last blog was, why her entire vibe changed, what she is doing these days, I feel kind of disrespected as a viewer. Privacy is one thing but totally disengaging is another. It's like she's banking on the ad revenues, the clicks, but she's not engaging in a way that feels authentic and the stuff she is doing feels more detached from anything like real life (although the captions in place of actual narration or content don't help, that's for sure). It makes me really sad to say it but it makes me want to stop watching. I think we're in the negative in terms of sparkle.

I found it weird she had him talking at the beginning, I have said it in the other thread but if she doesn’t want people to speculate she needs to stop dropping hints like this, either feature him and explain the situation or don’t, not this half and half

As rude as it is to say I just want her to grow up, move out and develop her skills alone. She has the finances to move out so that’s not the reason. I feel like she thinks she’s still like 18/19.

In her latest video shes wasting so much cake! Id never buy a cake that expensive. Lol. I know she said shes going to give the leftover cake to a school, but will they really take that, in the current covid situation? I think grace does waste quite a lot of food and buys alot more then she needs especially as theres only 3 in the house now.

yeah I thought that, even without covid there is very little chance any school would take something half eaten, even homeless shelters wouldn't

I used to love her but she’s getting more and more”annoying” for lack of better term.
I had a flatmate who was 17 when she moved in, I was 27, and she was Grackle style OTT in personality. She has matured massively over the last 3 years and is now one of my best friends. I can’t believe Grace at 23, still acts so over it. I don’t know how her parents deal with her, it’s not like she’s always been like this, she’s just getting more and more cringey.
I feel horrible saying this but I literally can’t watch her anymore without going “omg shut up!”

I really like Grace but I feel like I’ll be unsubbing/unfollowing in the next few months. Every YouTuber hits a point where they lose integrity because it becomes a job and they care about earning money more than making good content. I feel Grace is becoming more like this every day

I feel the same I feel so bad saying it because I still think she's a lovely person and I hate thinking she would read this and have her feelings hurt lol. But I can't vibe with her videos like I did when I first started watching her, she was so down to earth and now she's constantly so over the top and dare I say it cocky (I know I'll take myself out ). On the contrary - I LOVE her Dad and could watch him all day ahahaha. I still think they are a lovely family, I'm just sad I don't enjoy the content as much anymore because she was such a happy place for me. I don't think lockdown has done her any favours, kind of stopped her in her prime from getting out there and getting an identity outside her family.

I think a lot of youtubers kind of end up become a "cacicature" of themselves over time

Honestly, same. She's gotten boring because now she makes the same type of videos, she had a good start with the Grackle Tries series but that obviously didn't work out. She hasn't grown much after university. .

I agree, her content is so crappy lately and honestly super super lazy. She probably feels like she's stuck doing YT because it makes good money, better money than a regular job but I feel like she would do so much better in a normal working environment. She could still do YT on the side. I feel like her creativity is dying with her channel right now. She should be careful because if she continues like this it will end soon.

Yeah, I think unfortunately once people start making money from youtube they often get lazy and don't want to end it for a 'normal' job where they likely won't get to set their own hours. Realistically though, I think she should really be thinking about her options this year. As much as I think Grace is a great person, she's turning 25 this year. Is she going to keep living with her parents and making supermarket trips and doing product reviews forever? I think it's going to be difficult for her when her views start going down and she should at least be considering other options.

Grace replied to a comment on tiktok saying her sister is married. She only got engaged at the end of November, that seems like such a short engagement to me!

I got married 3 months after getting engaged. We'd been together 5 years and once we decided we wanted to be married, we decided there was no point in waiting. Neither of us cared for a big wedding, we just wanted to be married. I think long engagements are silly. Why wait 3 years just so you can have a fancy venue?

I'm not married to my partner but I didn't know what living with him would be like before I moved in with him. A wedding doesn't really mean anything other than a ceremony and a party, the living with each other is unknown whether you get married beforehand or not.

Yeah but it's going to be more awkward if you get married first and then find out you don't get on when living together...
Each to their own but I couldn't imagine getting married to someone without living together first. Living and running a home together is a very different vibe to just going on dates and going round to each others places.

I agree, love her to death, a total comfort watch for me, but I do get a little tired of the repetitive content lately. Supermarket hauls and buzzfeed bakes just aren't that interesting. She seems like such a creative person, would be cool to see her step outside the box and take on more ambitious cooking/baking/product development challenges. Her best vids, imho, are the decade eating challenges.

Tbh I'd watch her either way, I like her personality and even though I've seen critiques of ads and so on on her previous threads, I respect the choices she makes there/they fit her channel.

I always think this too! I think she could be really successful at a more professional/tutorial sort of channel with a completely different audience. It’s not like she’s not qualified. And then keep her silly challenges/Tik Tok trend bakes for Grackle.

i'd be kind of disappointed if she did tbh, there are lots of influencers who clearly do but they always strike me as the narcissistic ones,would be a let down if she was like that. What said I agree it does seem from that post that she does

She does not have to move out in order to grow up though, I understand and respect her wish to stay with her family. She does, however, need to grow up and get a life outside of youtube. Something I was thinking earlier was that she could volunteer at places that have been hit hard w/ the pandemic. She could offer her services for free in exchange for some behind the scenes footage. She could stay for 1, 2 or 3 months to help them out. She's a quick learner and without a doubt a hard worker, she's friendly and likable so I'm sure they would love to have her around. Like a museum, a tea/coffee shop, cinema, cafe or restaurant. She could do 2 or 3 days a week, it would give purpose to her days and content for her channel and she would help other people out. She would meet new people, too. She's so good with ppl, that's when she seems to be happiest. The other days she can just dilly dally around.
