Yeah I think she woke up sooner and decided not to share for the reason you mentioned but also her announcing she was awake on International Women's Day isn't lost on me. She definitely knew what she was doing with that one!

Not at all and the part of my comment that you didn't bother to quote makes that clear.
My point was more so that for someone so poorly (I'm seriously not doubting that she was at all), I wouldn't expect to see anything from her on social media for the foreseeable future. I'd have thought the focus was on recovery and not maintaining my socials. Hence my surprise at her latest IG post of bubba's feet.
This is why it surprises me that posting on social media is a priority/a thing.
But I guess we're all different and have different relationships to social media...

It's the part where you said her posting on social media must mean she's not as unwell as Derek, but her sister never said she was. Hence the "small fraction".
I'm not sure it's helpful to pick apart her actions weeks after she's woken up. It's not like she's posting stories and tweeting every second, she's liked a few tweets and has posted one picture of her baby's feet.
And yeah, she does have a different relationship to social media than the rest of us. I personally couldn't imagine myself posting so soon but my life also doesn't revolve around social media.
Anyway, I suppose Grace and Charleigh have brought this on themselves in a way because they've been known to be dishonest and maybe even manipulative over the years. So most things they do will be questioned.
I wasn't picking her actions apart based on social media posting at all - the fact is, she was sadly in a coma for almost/if not 3 months.
Derek was in a coma for far longer. Based on that alone, I'd surmise that their experiences of covid may have been somewhat different though very traumatic nonetheless.
Again I stand by my point that my focus would not be on social media at all. Whether it's a story here and there or a tweet.
I haven't really given Charleigh's tweet much attention and wasn't commenting in relation to that but Derek's case in general based on what I've read. I'm yet to watch the doc.

This is what I don’t like and I’m not sure I agree with, because long term there are wider issues here, we still don’t know how well she actually is doing and I just feel very hesitant

You can be in ICU and fully awake and able to do things like that. I believe it is grace, but even if it’s not her family are giving the updates that obviously people have been hounding them for on her behalf.

People are in ICU for multiple reasons. Plus she's just out of a coma so she needs to be closely monitored by her team !
