Grace saying she’s not shouting about the restock on Instagram because she doesn’t want there to be too much hype so there’s bad customer experience. But she literally just posted it on her Instagram? And I’ve seen about 3 posts about it since yesterday...

is it just me or does Grace's attitude absolutely stink. she's so snarky all the time and weirdly loud about how she's a "hardworking business woman". she just got lucky that she was probably one of the first fitness influencers and had an unobtainable body through genetics which she's made her money off deluding people into thinking they can get it too.
i made the excellent decision to unfollow her off all socials the other month. the vibe she gives off irritates me

I know she’s done a day in the life on Instagram CONVENIENTLY straight after hello mag. Surely you would do the one and share

I think shreddy workouts are only twenty mins!!! Which is why I just don’t get how the app has any following. They post the same workouts on the shreddy insta and they wouldn’t even get your heart up for a warmup. No hate on anyone doing shreddy they are just VERY beginner and repetitive. Grace is not doing them. In twenty mins she probs just does a few hip thrusts and some bike sprints

It’s weird how much of a complex she has about proving she’s working hard. When tbf try all you want with scripted day in the life’s. We all see you on social media all day, playing in the hot tub, going on a holiday a month (but never takes time off🙄). She left creates the rod for her own back by trying to shout that she’s the best business women to ever exists, oooh so successful, entrepreneur of the year, hi I’m in Forbes, run three businesses by myself. If she was upfront no one would be arsed about her workload. We talk abo other genflow influencers, no one asks Natasha oceans about how much work she’s done in day because she doesn’t shove it down people’s throats in a patronising and I’m better than you manner

This is probably what bothers me the most. It’s the “wow I built this myself!” and “work as hard as me if you want this!” talk that is soul crushing. It reminds me of what the far right in America thinks. The whole idea that if you work hard enough you can get whatever you want. In reality, that is not true AT ALL. Privilege plays a huge role in where you get in life, but the rich/well off seem to ignore this and attribute their successes to “hard work”
This repeated forever.

She's setting up impressionable young followers with a lack of critical thinking for failure. They will feel they aren't good enough or haven't worked hard enough and it's all their own fault if they to can't drop a mill on a house in their early 20s.

Grace doesn't care about the health of the young followers, just that they're galvanised to defend her because they think they could be her.

Not that I want to be rude to her young followers, I know myself when I was younger I was impressionable and would have been easily exploited by infuencers.

I don't think she's genuine at all. Credit where credit is due, heading up a business at any age is difficult, but as I'm looking into the Genflow thing a bit more i've realised someone else literally set up the business for her and essentially handed it over. I'd have so much more respect for her if she set it up herself, especially as she loves to claim she was setting up/running it whilst doing her "1000's" of dissertations at Oxford. As someone who has set up a business, its arguably the hardest and most time consuming part. She wasn't sat in her room on her own sourcing materials, creating designs, and liaising with manufacturers. Instead she got someone else to do it all?? So how is she now sitting there at these women in business events at Facebook, Forbes etc. claiming to be a boss ass business women, when all she really has done is stuck her face on a bunch of shit someone else created. Feels so fraudulent.
And then she has the audacity to say she's a small women owned business so we should support her over other businesses. If we're to believe her, and Tala has sold over 250k units of stock in the first six months, this is not a small independent business.

Nah Grace, I think I'll just use Gymshark if I want to spend £40 on a pair of leggings. They offer free delivery, student discount AND their leggings don't rip at the crotch. That's the more environmentally friendly option for me. Using a brand that will last beyond two wears.

Yes, well put. I was also going to point out that the “hand finished in Portugal” claim is shady, like you say all it takes is a small element to be put on in that country to use that claim. Where is it actually made?
I work in the development sector and most recently on labour issues (specifically modern day slavery) and I can confirm literally from governments from the US to UK to China all the way to frickin Grace Beverley that the little gaps and nuances in literal legislation and policies are manipulated hardcore and taken advantage of to maximize profit no matter how much it hurts people on the way (but i see some of you already knew that so her minions are literal idiots). It's the horrors of capitalism that even the most well meaning and transparent companies can be complicit in (and no you're not part of this Grace). It's really difficult to get companies to truly care and they have to be proven through policy and data that they aren't gonna lose profits for "caring about people"   I've seen how Grace talks about labour issues, she barely covers the surface much less understands the horrible world of the supply chain that goes from the west to developing countries. She's just popular and her bs sells because the majority of her supporters are privileged white western girls (not that there is anything wrong with being any of this but the point is that these people need to realise they are very far removed from such issues and some probably don't even know what's exactly happening / Grace is the first person they heard it from). Even per labour sector, per country, per age group, per nationality, the issues can be starkly different - there's such specific shit to consider but she just throws in some shit you can literally google from the intro section of a DFID or UN programme or whatever and everyone's like wow 🤩 girlboss goals wow.

But will she ever have a discussion with ppl like us about it? No because we are just haters. Now that I've written this out in black and white, I realised her marketing technique is actually very disgusting. She's capitalising from circumstances of affected labourers in the global south with her minions thinking they're saving these people's lives by buying her broken products and there's no words for this.

I follow an illustrator on IG who set up her entire business (online shop) herself since she was 16, ran it all throughout uni and went full time after she graduated. She posted the other day that her latest launch got 10k in sales and I literally felt over the moon for her. I can't put my finger on exactly why but I don't get the same tacky feeling from her as I did from Grace even though its a similar thing? Maybe it's just one of those things where when you start to dislike someone everything they do becomes annoying!
5C66308E-5A61-4477-8080-AD4C9F08762F.jpeg

this is why, she’s not humble, she brags and likes tweets of ppl bending down to the queen. Whilst letting her minions attack anybody that has an opinion that differs to hers.

Also would love to reply to this tweet saying. Okay: Step 1 Get rich parents, Step 2 learn to bend the truth on social media & omg you’re now so successful😍

I think the thing with Grace which grinds my gears a little is how her privilege got her to where she is today. I know she can't control the family in which she was born, but she makes no reference to it at all. Its all linked, she never would have got big on the socials years back if she wasn't leading the kind of life most girls coveted, she got lucky getting a feature on gymshark or bbg (whatever it was). But each achievement she has made has been heavily linked to her background, you just need to look at her sisters to see they've taken FULL advantage of that, and there is nothing wrong with it at all! But its a bit rich claiming this is all self made, because she's just misleading people into thinking if they 'work hard like her' they can have it all.

View attachment 138433Literally the kind of worship she gets is fucking weird like what do these people think they are going to get out of forming a cult around her. All of a sudden her stans are business experts.
Honestly Grace went to a good university and has a good work ethic and makes ethics, politics and sustainability key features of her personal and commercial brands. Naturally a lot of her followers are going to be people similar to that, also intelligent people. Then you get the little fake tan big bum wanting followers. These are the ones that follow her blindly and believe everything she feeds them because they think putting on tala and buying a resistance band gives them Grace’s life.
Don’t make your platform so focussed on all these qualities that naturally draws in intelligent, hard working young women to form a big part of your following and then get offended and go on rants because some of your followers have a brain and know things about business. She loves to be the only intelligent one and assumes all her followers are minions so has to claim she’s being hated on when her switched on followers call her out on real business and ethical issues. You’re not the only #girlboss that is aware of the business world

£20 peach ice tea powder that's just a multivitamin  She doesn't even list the ingredients (is that even legal?), but if you really squint at the photo you can see it's sweetened with the cheap artificial sweetener sucralose.

I feel sorry for anyone that falls for buying that shit. Easy to get all it contains (A,C,E, B6,B12 Biotin, Niacin and taurine) for a fraction of that.

This could be thread name if the thread ever takes off

*RANT*

Does anyone follow Mari Llewellyn? It wasn't until I started following her that I became so annoyed at Grace. Mari and her fiance started a supplement company and she's so much more truthful and honest than Grace. Like saying that her fiance's mom is their accountant, being very clear about how many units they've ordered and why they sold out so fast, etc. I just appreciate that she's humble and more transparent about her work life.

Grace is constantly bragging about how great she is, but refuses to talk about GenFlow. She seems to love being a featured speaker at events and all the attention from the boss babe mentality. She clearly enjoys luxury things yet demonizes capitalism.

Honestly, I unfollowed her after she personally called me out in the facebook group. I, a paying customer who bought her guide and bands, expressed disappointment that she wasn't posting workout videos with her bands on instagram anymore - I really appreciated them and used them regularly! What I got was a reply back from Grace about how she's changing her content and can't we all just give her a break blah blah blah (this was before she made that video about stopping the fitness content and changing from Grace Fit UK behind....and then started companies BASED ON FITNESS).

Anyways, I thought it was pretty rude to call out a supporter/customer and make them feel shitty for wanting more fitness videos from a fitness influencer.

But... this is literally you?????

The replies to the original tweet literally describe Grace to a tee... talking about how much easier it is to start a business when ur already financially stable, when you already have a wealth of family connections etc.

Her lack of self awareness infuriates me. View attachment 127458
I came on here to post this exact thing!!! Hahahaha she is so deluded. She really doesn’t understand privilege. That’s everything she’s done has been easier because she’s not had not had the societal or financial pressures or fight as most people. I HATE when girls like this give advice and they’re all like “follow your dreams and just do it, take a chance”

Literally doesn’t work for normal living pay check to pay check. It’s easy to take a leap when you got a big ass cushion underneath

The fact she was able to use her internship money really highlights her privilege to me.
Only somebody who already lived in London in a house where they didn’t have to pay rent with parents who didn’t need financial help from their kids (believe it or not A LOT of young people have jobs just because their family needs the extra money) would be able to do that. Grace was incredibly privileged even to be in the financial position to do that internship (most people would not be able to live in London for a year on an internship salary - hence why I can guarantee that no kids from the north can do fancy internships at investment banks) , never mind having the ability to save up that money and spend it on starting a business.(I’ll hold my hands up, most of the above applies to me too)
I remember being 16 and my parents sitting me down and telling me that they expected me to get a job over that summer and you know what? I'm so much better for all the time I spent in customer service. But the fact that I had to work from 16 in restaurants and bars (because when I went to university, my maintenance loan wasn't enough to cover my rent, despite the fact my parents couldn't afford to give me anything like student finance assumes of people outside a certain bracket of income) meant that I didn't have the time to pursue other passions and hobbies of mine. Grace forgets, and I've said this on GG, that money and class buys TIME. She got to where she is based on both luck at being noticed by Kayla Itsines, money to buy all the "aesthetic" gymwear, genetics and the time to cultivate and take photos of herself working out. I know when I go to the gym I don't waste time making myself look cute to film myself for insta because my powerlifting sessions can run insanely long anyway and I don't have the time to spare.

Sorry, rant incoming.

The thing that really annoys me with Grace is that she seems to have forgotten that she owes her success to her followers. I used to follow her when she posted fitness stuff, uni vlogs, that kind of thing. I could put up with her privilege then because the content was reasonably interesting and useful.

Now, she pawns off YouTube as it's too much anxiety for her, has deleted/archived a load of old useful videos, constantly posts about her extravagant house and just generally shows off all the time. I do believe that at one point she was working hard, albeit with the assistance of her managers, people working behind the scenes and her parents' money. However, her brands are essentially merch. And it disgusts me how she treats her customers (e.g. the Tala ripped leggings issue) when I'm sure the majority of them are people who have supported her from back when she was relatable. Instead of fixing issues, she chooses to brag about her damn house, her designer puppy (adopted my ass), her 50 holidays a year. She's desperate for money, selling things which she once declared completely unnecessary (BCAAs), continuing to flog dodgy Tala items, etc. I'm genuinely appalled that somebody could gain such success through their supporters and then turn around and shit on them in so many ways. Perhaps even more shocked that she still has fans who idolise her and everything she does.

She's now posted a day in the life summary on her own Instagram feed, clearly wasn't all that happy with how the Hello one portrayed her.

It's long so I've whacked it in a spoiler
7.30am: wake up in the mornin feelin like p diddy! this is a fun work from home luxury lie in, sometimes I even push it to 8.30 (I know calm down grace). I wake up to a radio alarm which is nice because it slowly helps you realise that ur alive and the world exists
8am: workout! I do a really short 20 minute session and hardly ever longer than this - this helps me focus (working out gets my brain going so if I’m not careful I end up writing some sort of project on my phone instead of training), it also helps me not burn out
8.30am: I end the workout with a 2 min plank which is the first time I go on my phone if I’m being good (spoiler alert: this has a low success rate). very aware I sound like a psychopath rn. Head upstairs to shower & change into something presentable on my top half #zoomlyf
9am: another coffee & plan my week - I split my to do list into quick ticks, emails/messages, tasks & projects. This helps me stay on top of everything without getting overwhelmed, and helps me time block to work on projects rather than just ticking off quantity rather than quality. I try to keep this as skeletal as poss at this point in the week. I then had around 30 mins to do some quick ticks & respond to messages
9.50am: briefing call for 10am
10am: recruiter call for some roles at @wearetala - time to get scaling baby!
11am: approvals: I receive 2 approval emails per day split into quick approvals & projects which can be anything from approving collection designs, to app updates to PR interviews. I still approve the large majority of movement at both TALA and @shreddy (incl. @b_ndstore), so this makes movement a lot more succinct & allows the teams freedom to operate whilst still enabling me to be a lil bit of a control freak. Other things done before füd inclüd
* Sent out emails - shreddy post-challenge plans, review of the new Condé Nast Sustainable Fashion Glossary & and a summary of how covid-19 has highlighted irresponsible business practices in fashion, and the ways the industry could change going forwards - sent to team TALA
* Looked at rewiringfashion.org, a very interesting analysis of how the fashion industry should look re sustainability and its calendar - again, sent in write up to team TALA
12.30pm: made me some truffle mushrooms on a bagel for breakfast (weirdly boujie but truffle oil addict) - I don’t intentionally intermittently fast but it helps me to regulate my funky blood sugar for longer in the day & I’m most productive in the morning so I get distracted with work. In my lunch break I watched some youtube (some days trashy some days interesting financial/business - depends on my mood)
1.30pm: prep for 2pm call and sent out a few more emails based around my project approvals
2pm: weekly call with the whole of TALA HQ where we touch base on eeeeverything
3pm: ticking things off: a quick touch base call here and there, review of a few samples, actually no clue what else I did in this time. Definitely ate a chocolate bar. Should have taken a longer lunch break because brain was too fried at this point - had a little music loud boogie round the kitchen to help
3.45pm: prep for my call & made a coffee, ate another chocolate bar
4pm: call with TALA operations & creative about future collection plans and release structures
5pm: called a TALA partner for an update chat following this Harvard business course I’ve been doing - needed to discuss website updates and release plans from previous call, then reviewed next B_ND restock plan
6pm: TALA team quiz! Rescheduled from last week
7pm: dog walk
8pm: collapse on sofa for trashy tv and dinner
Please tell me I’m not the only one who thinks that’s no work at all? I swear I do more work in the first hour of my work day 🙄

Oh shut up grace saying we have "blood on our hands". This site is very strict (unlike GG..) and the worst it gets is bitchy. But mostly it's exposing all your shady shit and that's why you hate it and try to discourage people from posting here.

Hi everyone! Longtime lurker, finally caved in to create an account. I genuinely wish she and her followers can see all of this, it’s all so fucking spot on. Like many of you I once loved Grace and I’ve experienced the full 180 like the rest of you.

She’s an unbearable show off. I made this account just to join the venting on her recent twitter posts being like “i think i’m ready to make some more big moves” and “i know i sit back a lot" and whatever shit about spreading yourselves so thin. Girl your quality is trash, you are spreading yourself too thin. She also literally admitted in the comments to knowingly selling sub-quality shit to her consumers in order to “keep her workers paid”. Her literal “success” and “multi-million” companies profit from poor quality trash shit that break in 6 seconds, a faulty app full of workouts that don’t do shit and from other people who actually do the majority of the work for her, including having some brand manager whose career and life is dedicated to her brand. How could forbes award her when everything is so bad. This influencer world is strange.

Admittedly i kept giving her excuses like maybe she does work hard and people are underestimating her, how can we know what’s going on behind the scenes blah blah blah. Now I don’t even feel bad anymore - no wonder she has not moved on from 1 mil followers, so many ppl must see through her shit. It’s probs not even a full 1 mil if you count out pervy men and bots.

I noticed other people post about this so I am gonna chip in. As someone who is also really dedicated to working out, lifting heavy, and constantly learning from really experienced professionals like IFBB pros /actually certified hardworking women like Natacha Oceane - you know people who have truly dedicated their lives to this sport and are scientifically accountable, I think Grace being platformed by mainstream media and her followers as an actual fitness figure is fucking embarrassing and a spit in the face of the fitness world. Her “expertise” is literally negative at this point and anyone who holds her as an esteemed “fitspo” is literally an idiot. Even the weights she posts on her insta stories when she wants the world to think shes going in for a “sweaty emoji” workout are sooOOO light (for someone who is supposed to be a “fitspo”) Literally other fitness influencers showing workouts with their fucking towels and water bottles are achieving greater muscle stimulus than she is with her squat rack. Also let’s keep in mind, if she was working out properly, we’d know because she’d post it all over the place from her sweating to the KG of her weights. I know that everyone has their own personal relationship with fitness and may have periods of falling out from the gym, but I feel others are more genuine about that (?) and will not use that as an excuse to become absolutely irrelevant, while simultaneously claim to still be relevant. And yeah I don't think she's following the shreddy workouts because even that is too hard for her probs lmao.

Idk if you guys know Caroline O’ Mahoney, but she once posted on her insta story “should fitness influencers look like what they preach / sell” or something along these lines and the majority said yes. Guess what, Grace ain’t it.

PS. I’m angry and idk if this is too mean but I’m ready to vent about her “B_ND content creators” and “Shreddy ambassadors”.

Genuinely, I think if she made a post/video properly acknowledging her privilege and how connections and wealthy parents got her to the top, then she would win back a lot of her old fans and her businesses would probably do better. You can just tell that she was a child who never got told 'no' and now it's really damaging because she sees constructive criticism as a personal attack on her and her business. Every young start up company has teething problems, I don't know the details of this, but I remember someone saying that Gymshark had loads of issues when they first launched - it's normal! The first few years are complicated and it's a process of trial and error, but Grace refuses to see that and believes that her 'babies' will be brilliant from day one. I'm watching one of the old videos right now and honestly I miss that Grace - I actually really liked her at this point, she was a relatively normal (albeit very privileged) 20/21 year old girl, offering advice and just creating study videos on YouTube, but she's let having businesses go to her head and can't see that she's becoming more and more unbearable. When even her most loyal minions quit supporting her - and this will happen at some point, it's inevitable - she will realise that you can't alienate fans and then still expect to have a customer base
