Her writing is so bleeping hard to read! I have to read each sentence a few times before I actually understand what she's waffling on about.

As @cookiemunchmunch said, why is she speaking for a whole generation? I'm 27 and I'm certainly not suffering from an identity crisis or burn out, and I doubt any of Grease's teen fanbase are either. Who is the target market for this book, I'm genuinely confused
Thats what I’m saying, its just her writing as a millionaire who became famous for having a big batty. The vast majority of the population can’t relate to that. She should’ve just stuck to the day job of influencing, this book’s a mess. If she wanted to write a book that sold, she should’ve wrote juicy tit in it, not this shite

I can say at 21, I don't know what I want to do, but I am confident in myself and don't have an identity crisis or feel burnt out. School is difficult and it's scary to be graduating into a pandemic that has lasted over a year, but in no way do I feel lost and I'm sure as hell not #sponsored by negative feelings.

And what’s with this dutty picture shes posted to reveal the cover of the book? Looks like she was on the sauce the night before it was taken with some empty beer bottle in the background smh. I can’t believe people still simp for this person
I'm sure she's worn that top loads and probably never washed it, bet the armpits have gone yellow. She could have at least powdered her forehead for the photo.
I cringe at how many idiots are going to be reading her book thinking it's amazing. I genuinely do wonder whether her housemates see through her bullshit and just brown nose her for cheap rent and Instagram followers, or whether they are mindless sheep themselves

I’m 24, working a normal full-time job. When I started to kind of feel this way I just stopped getting on social media so much lol this is the least relatable pile of crap i have ever seen

I’m not a book editor (actually a content manager) but Jesus Christ if that poorly written drivel landed in my approve box, it would have red crosses all over it!

Her use of punctuation is appalling, her sentences are way too long with way too many commas and her writing style is just completely jumbled. Why does she use so many hyphens??? Her sentences would have so much more ~nuance~ if she used full stops where they’re supposed to be used.

I think she’s genuinely written a novel that could quite easily be replaced by “stop looking at your phone so much”.

i still can’t bleeping believe she thinks she has any authority to write a book like this at her age and with her “experience”. what a joke

Ditto to all of the above!!! She's basically having a conversation with herself about herself and her habits? Because personally I can't relate to any of it and all of the people who said it was relatable probably work in social media 🤔 Also....does she realise ....SHE'S part of the problem making ppl feel tit about not reading/working/exercising enough?!? What a weirdo

Oh sure. Penguin style guide is to blame for this incoherent nonense.
It's hard to even notice the punctiation mistakes with this "style" of writing 😶

just a few things:
1) who the fuk with a real job has time to both make loooong ass insta posts about what books they’ve read this month? and make a fukin reminder about it AND prioritise this over doing actual work?
2) look how grotty that jacket looks 🤮 i mean i am glad to see that the expectation of other people wearing/buying their dirty clothes is not only on other people, however WASH YU DUTTY GARMS
She looks like she’s got cocaine all over the sleeve!

^ this! 👏🏻

To be genuinely helpful to her young fanbase, she could've written "if social media is making you feel tit and burnt out, unfollow the people that make you feel that way" and called it a day

my personal fave productivity tip is when she told everyone to watch a TED Talk on their lunch hour to keep your brain in work-mode xoxxooxxo

Then got absolutely roasted on twitter rightly so and then admitted it was a poor take

And now she's writing a book criticising hustle porn whilst STILL pushing the "read academia over your morning coffee" narrative

I've been confused about this as well (as in who her target audience is). I feel like all her advice about productivity is based on the assumption that people have a lot of flexibility in their working hours and can choose how intensely they want to work. I suppose that kind of work dynamic might apply to university students, where you are given a lot of independence in how/when you work, and I imagine a big proportion of her pre-orders will be uni students based on her fanbase. But I think she is trying to market the book towards young working professionals, which is where I'm confused. Most working professionals have pretty set working hours and our deadlines are usually set other people (at lot of her advice so far seems to focus self-imposed deadlines, which is rare unless you're self-employed/more senior). At least for me and from what I can see from other people around me, I'm not agonising over setting work/life boundaries and productivity. My workplace has structures in place to create that balance. I'm not sure she is really that aware of what the average young professional's life is like, because her only experience in a 'normal' office environment is as an intern at IBM which is a very specific kind of culture.

I almost think that content like this which claims to be against hustle culture is actually contributing to the issue. I think it's causing people who were otherwise pretty happy with their working pattern to suddenly start hand-wringing about whether they're a victim of this culture and suddenly need to start itemising and 'blocking off' chunks of their day.

Also very sneaky pinning comments! I've never noticed that before
i’m struggling with why/how so many people are in such awe of her?!
wise is the last word i’d choose to describe grace beverley 🤷🏽‍♀️ without even thinking about the monumental fuckery over the past year, just look at today’s free meal saga - how can people not see her for what she is?!
