I agree. Gogglebox has been a fascinating and enjoyable concept, but sometimes tv shows need changing up, but with Gogglebox it's just not possible to do that. The whole concept is people sitting in front of a TV and reacting to what they see. It can still be enjoyable, but less so after many years

For me it's the same as the Great British Bake Off. Watching people bake every week is great, but eventually the concept becomes a bit tedious. I never missed a season of the GBBO before this year, but this year I can take it or leave it. Maybe I'm going through a phase 😄
Wow so glad I'm not alone!! 1st time ever I've not watched bake off! Hahaha maybe I'm going through a phase too. I'll watch it if I stumble across it this year.

I loved when he asked her what would she do if it were the end of the world and she said she’d go see Magic Mike and he was like no magic Dave! 😂😂
He's so randy 🤣🤣🤣

Quite dull this week I think
Programs haven’t been great e.g the Haunted Hospital was laughably funny but they were all OTT screaming 🤦‍♀️

I agree with the thought that there are too many people now... The Eubanks are a bit odd, Not liking DVO's manspreading bloke 🤮 Enjoyed it overall - thought the Clarkson clip was very funny😂... 🐑

So sad, rest in peace Mary.
She was an absolute joy to watch on TV, naturally funny and charming. 🥰

I'm really not sure what to think. At first their ignorance was embarrassing, now I wouldn't be surprised if they are playing on it.
i think it’s definitely put on - and noticed they like to promote working class women as quite stupid. I am sure C4 would deny that, but it’s far too coincidental for me.

I tried to do a top 5 but it is so difficult, there are so many I love. I hated Pete and Sophie at the start but I LOVE them now!!! They are hilarious. Love the Malones, Jenny and Lee, David and Shirley, Marcus and Mica, Giles and Mary, the Plummers are hottt, Stephen and Daniel like I just love the aaaallll!!!
My top 3 to be axed off the show in no particular order are Ellie and Izzie, Amira and Iqra, and Paige and Sally
I have noooo love for these at all, never have any reaction to any of their comments, or else get annoyed by their comments. Particularly Ellie and Izzie. They are constantly talking about losing weight or eating food! 😴

I was out of the room when the bit about the jubilee part started. My teen shouted too me 'mum, Mary is crying about the Queen again!'

I liked this episode. I especially liked their reactions to the shouty American women. I'd find it funny even without the comments...the way the pair started screaming as soon as she opened the door really got me. 😂 And then there was that nutcase presenter of SAS: Who Dares Wins. Then Maeva (or however you spell her name) from MIC, who increasingly reminds me of Villanelle. So many 'unique' characters.

The only ones that play up to the camera with scripted pre planned rubbish as much as Pete and Sophie is Jenny and Lee. You can tell both pairings before filming starts go through with one another what they are going to say for 'laughs' and it shows because it doesn't come across natural.
I agree about the ones you mentioned, pre planning stuff and playing to the camera.
Stephen does, as well, big time.

I still like Jenny and Lee but they definitely plan stuff rather than appearing naturally funny, as they used to. Lee for a while, a couple of series back, was borderline nasty in some things he said to Jenny but seems to have pulled back. I know they are friends and well able to have digs at one another but he was taking it to a point where it didn't come across well.

I actually watched that 'Sex Actually' programme. Strangely compelling and I thought Alice Levine was great. Very Louis Theroux like.

Good episode tonight. I enjoy Giles and Mary still.
How desperate must you be for work to accept that gig? Not talking about the sex performers but Alice.

One of them has a twin sister apparently. The one that is pregnant. Perhaps the twin got the brain cells.
Remember when one of the girls was talking about her Mum and how she sings her favourite song in Spanish? The other one looks amazed and asks her to sing it. She goes…..SHE GOES!…..

”Love on ze rocks…..eeez noooo zuprize”

Yeah, just rolled about!
